I wouldn't mind too much. There would be a great view of the night sky and plenty of peace. However, I do agree that it is not a sustainable area for the suburbs. At least not yet.

These were built before the market went down.


There are lots and lots and lots of those houses in the NY metro area. Actually, those houses didin't look nearly as bad as many of the houses around here do. I have to admit though, many of them actually are beautiful as houses, but when you build a mansion and stick it on a relatively postage sized piece of land, it looks like crap, no matter how much stucco you slap on it.

Haven't you ever seen houses being built? First thing they do is whack down all the trees so they can level the land and make little fake ponds and rivers for rainwater to collect. Then they build model houses to attract buyers and finally they roll out sod and plant trees that they never water.

Anyway, those homes don't really look too bad to live in. Problem is that they are pretty much the only ones there, with nothing around. Considering that, it could've been a lot worse. Imagine them building a whole neighbourhood and then find out no one wants to live there. =p
The houses themselves don't look bad, imo. Not too small and alright for the weather around there. Maybe a bit flamable from what I can see.

We never fight wars in nice places. Always shithole climates. Ever been to 29 Palms area near Joshua Tree Natnl Park? Ever been to Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow? God damn man, its like the parts of simcity that you never checked up on because they were too far to the side near the edge of the building space.

Twentynine Palms in the Mojave desert used to be an Army training center in the 50's, then they declared it uninhabitable and moved out. The Marine Corps bought the land for shit cheap and moved right in. :rolleyes:
