Anyway, nice to see a new thread, and nice to see a fresh start on the subject. I've taken the time to read through the four (now five) pages already here, save repeating questions, and also, to add my thoughts on current ones.

Suggestion #1:
The Melee I know that we've already had a reply (from you n0e) on that, but I'd like to readdress it. I personally think the old Melee we had was wrong. People just went in to insult each other left right and center. Some people were idiots, other were just out for attention, and some were simply damn right rude.

I do however, believe we should have a forum that allows people to say what they want, how they want, without having to worry about what they can and cannot say, nor would they have to worry about what others think. Obviously we'd have to have a few guys in there to enforce the rules, and make sure things don't get too personal, but for general purposes.

IE: If someone wanted to be adament about Aliens / God / the Loch Ness Monster being true or false, they could go to this forum (maybe we could do with renaming it), they could say exactly what they wished, without having to worry about hurting anyone elses' feelings.

Suggestion #2:
Repetition, I think it should be made public to each and every user, who is giving them good and bad rep. I know we may end up with a fair amount of 'revenge rep' from this, and on that note, I think we could maybe have a certain Moderator / Super Moderator who would look into all cases.

If a user feels they've been revenge repped, they'd PM said Moderator, and they'd sort the issue out. I really don't think there is any need for the "oh we can't display peoples names on the rep system case they get repped back". Members should be mature enough not to do that, anyone who does, gets a quiet word with one of you boss guys.

I don't think we should remove it, it is a nice thing to have.

I also wonder whether someone could rename some of the repetition wording. Make it more professional? - more of a minor nitpick there...

Suggestion #3:
Some new skins. We've got two at the moment. I remember when I joined, there were several to choose from. It would be nice to have a few more to select from.

Suggestion #4:
A 'Science and Technology' Forum. I know we've got the Tech Discussion, but to be honest, that is pretty much used for Computer related Tech stuff. I'm also aware we have the GD and Pub, but I think Science and Technology deserves its own section. Discussion about what medicine and technology hold for the future etc.

Suggestion #5:
I can't say I've seen much about it here, nor do I know how well it would do. But is there a chance we could get two more sub-forums in the Entertainment section?

The first would be WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) - or maybe just general Wrestling, as WWE isn't the only one around. The second, would be something I know we already have, but a Warhammer Table Top Discussion. Just my personal view, but I'd have thought that best suited in the Entertainment or Gaming sections. Sure, it fits with Dawn of War, but if there were ever another Warhammer game, why send people to the DoW forums?

Suggestion #6:
In various Forums (ie: Star Trek Online, Star Trek Armada, Star Trek Bridge Commander etc), they each have a unique sub-section for 'general' Trek talk. Could these (instead of new sub-forums), not be linked to the Starbase 42 section instead, so that ALL general Trek talk takes place in one place? Would bring the Trek community together a little more if nothing else.

So? There aren't any legal consequences as long as there's a disclaimer. Don't you know how many minors look at real porn sites?

There are plenty of underage kids here playing M-rated games, no one has a problem with that.

People can get by with behaving unusually mature, but what we don't know can't hurt us. I think we're pretty good at catching people who blatantly lie about their age, it tends to slip out (unless we've got some good liars on these boards). Those who have used the 18+ Babe forum and are found out later to be underage can, y'know, be temp-banned.

If we really wanted an 18+ Babe Forum, then we could just have people use MSN or something to message admins an image of an ID. At the least, it'd require anyone wanting to trick the system have some decent photoshop skills.
