I read these forums several times a day in as many sections that I feel are of interest to me or something that looks like I need to reply to it.

In any case, despite the idle claims , I have been looking into an 'extension' of reputation for posts with a mod that allows you to rate individual posts with a scaling system. So you could not only rate the user through reputation, but specific posts as well.

Question: Will there be any indicator to show that you are an excellent poster that will be tagged with your SN? Or will the rating be tagged with the post only?

Is there anyway to notify a user if someone posts in a social group of theirs? ATM the most one can do is look at the list of social groups and see if it is bolded.

Speaking of rep, for some reason I can't add to anyone's rep, is that nomal?

EDIT: I found out what's wrong, apparently I have to turn off the firewall to add rep and a bunch of other stuff

Seriously, that's why I think a second Rep Given bar would be interesting. It's not "changing" the already established rep system at all. It's adding to it. Perhaps it will make a person think twice about revenge neg repping if it's out there for all to see. Changing the system would be removing the ability to hide rep. I think that, too, coupled with a Rep Given bar would be a deterrent, or at least reveal a jerk-off.

Now that sounds like a much better idea I think.

Insults are against the rules though, regardless of whether they are posted in a thread or reputation comment. You can always report those to supermods or admins.

I completely understand this, and thats why I don't report all revenge repping because I'm not always outright insulted in revenge repping, though there are the times where I have been and reported it. However, their negative rep is pretty irrelevant to me now, so don't worry.

Even still your rep power is zero, so you repping people won't do anything to their reputation. They'll just get a gray message.
