{New Feature} What would YOU like to see added/removed on the forums?

No. The quantity of posts does not matter, but the quality, thats what the rep system is for.

The only way to solve the rep system (in my opinion) would be to remove the 'negative rep' option, so that people could only give out positive rep.

It is only the people who get negative rep that ever moan about it, so to stop the moaning, you must remove the neg rep system. However, having neg rep disabled, doesn't really warrant any reason for positive rep.

Pardon me for my noobness but I can't find this info anywhere on the forums. But if you give out a negative rep, is your rep affected in any way? Also, if you give out positive rep, is your rep affected as well? I think it would be better that for you to give a negative rep, your rep will be deducted by 2 points. That way, you will only give a negative rep to those who really deserve it.

No, if you hand out reputation (positiveor negative) this won't have ane effect on your own level of reputation points (or reputation power). If it would have been like that, it w would have been stated in the FAQ.

Not a bad idea though: Not only have a Rep bar that reveals your received Rep but also a bar that reveals your given Rep. It would be interesting to see who gives out more positive rep or negative rep. just thinking out loud...
