I don't hold a grudge no, business is business. If Ziff Davis and co couldn't afford to keep FF going, then it would have been tough for everyone else. It is nice though, that various folks have come up and baught this back.

I didn't know either, that the General Chit Chat was still working... I just typed the main GF link (like I always did) to find it not working.

Am glad everything is back to normal anyway. :)

The people I feel sorry for in all this are the volunteer lead communities who took up the slack from the collapse of FF and took in the strays (so to speak).

What annoyed me most is the wankers who registered at places like TRF with messages such as "Now I am forced to register here".

Those same people won't even give a 2nd thought to the "refugee sites" now that the main forums are back.
