Iff you download a lot then i have a piece of good advice for you. Before you download a mod go to downloads.com and download the free download accellerator cause it will cut your download time in half at least. If a download at first took 30 minutes then it will now take less then 15 minutes. You will be able to download at speeds up to 900 kb/sec.

well i downloaded the Download Accelerator Plus thing and my downloads arent goin 900Kbs they only improved by atleast 50-75 kbs to make it about 150-175 kbs for a download.

could you post the link for the 900kbs accelerator?

I downloaded the free download accellerator and then i downloaded AEM 5.3 at a speed of 853 kb/sec. Ofcource it depends on what kind of speed you had in the first place in my case i was allready downloading at 450 kb/sec. before i downloaded the accellerator. So for me it works nicely. But i think it may be different for others. My internetprovider has 5 packages with 5 different speeds and i have the fastest but 1. So for me it makes a lot of difference but for you with a slower package it will still be slow. Although not as slow as it used to be.

Download accelerators are a pile of steaming poop. I want somebody to explain to me, just how a piece of software is going to expand your bandwidth.

I never use accelerators. They never work. I get 1 mb/sec without an accelerator, and 900 KB/sec with one.

DAP Premium does work though, I think... At least, I went from ~3000 kb/sec up to ~4500 kb/sec.
