True. But what coincidences could occur? When you download things without an accelerator they go slow, when you download with an accelerator they go fast. What sort of coincidences are there?

I'm almost certain DLAs do advance your download speed. Didn't notice anything if it comes to uploading.

Pretty much everything that influences your speed anyway.
Demand on server at that time, demand in your local area, etc etc...

Demand is not going to change too much within ten or fifteen minutes, so that's not a factor. Again, the demand on the server is not going to change much within such a short period of time, and in any case, you can run test downloads off really obscure, or private servers.

I use DownThemAll! for Firefox, which downloads it all in parts, similar to a torrent, I really do have a big increase in speeds. I can't explain exactly how it works, it just does. Only problem I've noticed so far is that FileFront doesn't like it, I get a 403 error every time. Works well for pausing and resuming downloads though, useful for when I gotta go somewhere with my laptop in the middle of a download.

Ofcource you didn't cause then it wouldn't be a DLA but a ULA AKA an upload accellerator.

I think you have that backwards. You should watch what you say to the mods. You might be older, but they are higher on the food chain. Many people have gotten the boot after disrespecting the wrong person, regardless of the age difference.
