Well, we nearly burnt the house down thanks to a can of petrol and my brother-in-law's cigarette lighter XD

Fear not though, your beloved Donutz is safe.

EDIT: oh, and he has pics to prove it as well.

He's not here anymore lol, mebbe he can upload them tomorrow (there's only 1 really good pic, and that was after most of the fun).

We were putting petrol from the lawnmower into a little glass dish and trying to set it on fire with a cigarette butt (just call us Mythbusters). That didn't work, so we just set it alight with the lighter. Then a bug went crawling past, so we put it in the dish, added more petrol, toasted bug. AND THEN my brother-in-law decided to make a trail of petrol along the back porch and make a line of flame go down it and into the bowl. That made a pretty awesome fire and heat wave.

All in all, a pyrotechnical fun time :D

As promised, here are some pictures:

As you may be aware I made a stop over at Taipai for a couple of hours which I used to go into the city of Taipai itself. Didn't had much time so I only went in and around Tapai 101 tower:

Sydney (view from Royal Botanic Gardens) view across harbour:

Hyde park:

Manly beach:

Fun with the cockatoo

And then things turned very very bad:

Oh and then we burned some stuff in Commies backyard as he explained, sadly this picture was made a bit too late when the main spectacle was already kinda over:

That's it for now, I hope you liked these pictures (Commies says I should end with the following: Fuck off and die).

So... fuck off and die people! :sitonit:

;)

PS: Not sure if it's a problem on my side but some pcitures (randomly) seem to fail to load for me.

Hehe, thanks Commie. Now stop looking into my pron folder on your desktop! http://forums.filefront.com/../images/smilies/winkx.gif

Yeah I hope to get a tan, I already tanned a bit in the first couple of days. Oh and those sandals are quite comfortable, I don't care if I look like a tourist or not, I just want to feel confortable and have fun.

Heading to Newcastle this afternoon, I plan to stay there a night or two. I have a 45 day pass to complete a trip to Cairns (Greyhound coaches) , from there on I might fly to NZ for a week or 2, then to Melbourne for a week and then it's time to head back again to leave for Thailand and the Netherlands.

The Donutz stayed at my place the last two nights and I dropped him off at Newcastle train station/bus depot this morning where he was catching a bus north.

He should be in Port Macquarie by now, and hopefully not freaking out about where to stay the night!

Aye, I'm in Port Macquirie right now. Seems like most places are rather filled up but I managed to find a place a 30 dollars pn. I just had a free barbeque which was pretty nice, chatted a bit with various other people (Germans, Dutchies, Frenchies, Israelies). I plan to stay for two nights, perhaps more. I'm notsure yet where to go and dive. A flyer here says that Port M. is quite cheap for diving lessons but I'd have to look into that, how good the place is to dive and so on (I don't suppose any of you have tips?). The last two nights Augustus was so kind to allow me to stay at his place, he and his family were very nice and welcoming to me. So thanks a bunch for that. Saw some nice parcs and nature areas, patted a koala, saw my first koala, wombat, kangaroo etc. So I had some awesome days. :) Cheers!PS: my next stop will be Coffs Harbour were friends of my grandmothers live. After that I am not sure yet what the next stop will be. Brisbane perhaps. But we might be in very early January by then.
Oh and a merry christmas to all.

Admiral Donutz December 27th, 2008 12:38 AM

Re: The Netherlands will be safe for three months, but the Aussies won't be though...

I'll be heading out in two hours with the bus to Coffs Harbour.

Today I hiked around some more through parks and such. Yesterday I hiked along the coastline from Port Macquirie centre down south to a lighthouse 9 km further south. Halfway I hopped of the trail to head to a koala hopital were they had a nice tour. Gave them a small donation for the tour and them being run by volunteers without goverment backing. Then went back to the trail to enjoy the sea view, the vegatation etc. and arrived at the lighthouse 6 hours after I orginally set off. I then hiked back to the hostel, 8 km or so, which took one and a half hour to complete.

Re: The Netherlands will be safe for three months, but the Aussies won't be though...

Aye, thank Commie.

I'm in Murwillumba (fucking comlicated name to spell and pronounce... hehe). Been to Mount Warning yesterday together with two Korean chicks (free shuttle from the hostel). Heading to Brisbane tomorrow. Also went to Byron Bay, was meh, too many teens about. Went to most easterly point of australia. Went on a hippie tour to Nimbin and some botanic gardne woned by and other hippy. was great fun though nimbin wasn't any special for me (that and I dont do softdrugs). Fun comments though and all.

Coffs was great aswell, bei toured around to a rainforests and some other nice locations, celebrated NYE there and such. Nice, though to bad they didn't had " oliebollen" (google it or something). =p

I also booked my fligth to NZ and back again: Cairns-Wellington Feb 10th and Christchurch-Melbourne Feb 26th.

Cheerio,

Donutz

Re: The Netherlands will be safe for three months, but the Aussies won't be though...

Heya all,

Here is an other update. The last one has been a while.

In Macky I bought a Akubra hat, saw the Platypus and took a dive at the bottom of a waterfall in the national park overthere. I then went to Airlie beach, were I went on a 2day, 2 night tour around the Whitsunday islands. Weather is kinda shit (rain, clouds, more rain) so it was more like the Wetsundays... anyway, did some snorkeling, saw the coral and colourful fish, had great fun. Now i townsville. May head to the Magnetic Island. Ill be in Cairns in Feb 1st or second I think.

Attached are some photo's from me in Bundaberg (tutle hatchlings and egg laying), Myella farm (motorcycling and cracking the whip :naughty: ), and finally. Me on a sailing ship around the Whitsundays.

PS: See FH OT thread for photo's:
http://forums.filefront.com/fh-off-t...ml#post4786551

PPS: Looks like I never posted an update about Brisbane, Bundaberg etc. ohwell. perhaps an other time if anybody is interested. Else I wont' bother and enjoy the shitty weather outside rightnow... =p

Re: The Netherlands will be safe for three months, but the Aussies won't be though...

Here is an other update. As you may have guessed I have had very little time (or desire) to access the internet/forums.

In Cairns I went diving, a 5 day course which made my a certified open water diver. It was an extremely cool experience to be weightless under water and all. I also did a 1 day tour around the tablelands with a very cool tour (uncle somethings) were we went to several spots to sight see waterfalls and nature, went for a swim in some places and such. That and during a " boring" one hour road trip we did puzzles (objects that had to be put detached and put together again made from wood or steel). One of those was set of horseshoes connected to each other by a few chains on either end and a ring in the middle. Making it look like a set of handcuffs. Had much fun with those. :naughty: I'll show a picture a bit later.

In NZ I went to Wellington, met up with Masked Marsoe and visted museums and such. After that I went to the southern island and toured around with Magic. Did a -what was supposed to be- a 6 hour hike in Abel Tasman, took be more 9-10 because I joined up with this cool kiwi couple and a German chick. We stopped a lot, swom in the sea,m had a long lunch. And one sot as incredible nice. Cleopatra pools, which had a natural waterslide carved in the rocks. I was supposed to reach a bus at a certain time but luckily the kiwi couple ahd a car so I didn't had to rush this beautiful track.

In Gremouth I went to the brewery tour.

In Franz Josef I did an expensive but cool helihike. First time in a helicopter. The glacier was beautiful. Went in an ice cave. The light in there was breathtaking. Just awesome.

Only stayed a night in Queenstown, went bar hopping.

Didn't do much in Christchurch.

In Dunedin I went on a tour to sea the albatross, seals and yellow eyed pinguin.

In Lake Takepo I went to Mount Cook to do a nice track to the start of a glacier with huge chunks of ice floating in the lake it ended in.

In Kaikoura I went to swim with the dolphins. as fun though the sea was a bit rough and the trip was nearly cancelled. But given the bad weather (high waves) it was still nice. The whale trip I had planned was cancelled, move to the following day, cancelled again and today it finally went trough. Saw two sperm whales and as a bonus, a pack of orka's. Awesome!
I'm back in Christchurch now.

Flying to Melbourne tomorrow.

That's it foe now. I'll try to upload a selection of photos ASAP.

I definately will return to NZ btw. :nodding:

Oh and I'm in Melbourne right now. Was hard to find a hostel though... many hostels are booked out. Had to go to an other hostel this morning for that very reason (last hostel only has place for one night).
