Re: The Netherlands will be safe for three months, but the Aussies won't be though...
The Donutz stayed at my place the last two nights and I dropped him off at Newcastle train station/bus depot this morning where he was catching a bus north.
He should be in Port Macquarie by now, and hopefully not freaking out about where to stay the night!

Aye, I'm in Port Macquirie right now. Seems like most places are rather filled up but I managed to find a place a 30 dollars pn. I just had a free barbeque which was pretty nice, chatted a bit with various other people (Germans, Dutchies, Frenchies, Israelies). I plan to stay for two nights, perhaps more. I'm notsure yet where to go and dive. A flyer here says that Port M. is quite cheap for diving lessons but I'd have to look into that, how good the place is to dive and so on (I don't suppose any of you have tips?). The last two nights Augustus was so kind to allow me to stay at his place, he and his family were very nice and welcoming to me. So thanks a bunch for that. Saw some nice parcs and nature areas, patted a koala, saw my first koala, wombat, kangaroo etc. So I had some awesome days. Cheers!PS: my next stop will be Coffs Harbour were friends of my grandmothers live. After that I am not sure yet what the next stop will be. Brisbane perhaps. But we might be in very early January by then.
Oh and a merry christmas to all.

I'll be heading out in two hours with the bus to Coffs Harbour.
Today I hiked around some more through parks and such. Yesterday I hiked along the coastline from Port Macquirie centre down south to a lighthouse 9 km further south. Halfway I hopped of the trail to head to a koala hopital were they had a nice tour. Gave them a small donation for the tour and them being run by volunteers without goverment backing. Then went back to the trail to enjoy the sea view, the vegatation etc. and arrived at the lighthouse 6 hours after I orginally set off. I then hiked back to the hostel, 8 km or so, which took one and a half hour to complete.

Aye, thank Commie.
I'm in Murwillumba (fucking comlicated name to spell and pronounce... hehe). Been to Mount Warning yesterday together with two Korean chicks (free shuttle from the hostel). Heading to Brisbane tomorrow. Also went to Byron Bay, was meh, too many teens about. Went to most easterly point of australia. Went on a hippie tour to Nimbin and some botanic gardne woned by and other hippy. was great fun though nimbin wasn't any special for me (that and I dont do softdrugs). Fun comments though and all.
Coffs was great aswell, bei toured around to a rainforests and some other nice locations, celebrated NYE there and such. Nice, though to bad they didn't had " oliebollen" (google it or something).
I also booked my fligth to NZ and back again: Cairns-Wellington Feb 10th and Christchurch-Melbourne Feb 26th.
