Zombies are an Undying Classic

This is why Zombies, are the most original, classic, horror creatures out their.

-Their scary... I mean mabye not jump out of your seat scary, but frightening, i mean, if a walking corpse, still decomposing, with flesh and what not hanging from his face or body, who eats the flesh of the living and other things, and who doesn't have any feeling or emotion or remorse, doesn't atleast make you feel some kind of remote sense of "Horror", then you don't know what horror is.
-They're suited for any environment, space, jungle, ship, city, forest, desert, lab, and even on other planets, because they just can, there is nothing saying they can't and there are no barriers holding them to certain areas.
-Wide Variety, ranging from walking, to moderately jogging, to a full on sprint, and even the occasional mutant zombie with special abilities, even making them more thrilling.
-Never tiring, no matter what you say, blowing away a zombie never gets old, whether it be with a bomb, or the good old fashion boom stick, it's the purest feeling of satisfaction one can get, of emptying a round/shell/magezine into an undead corpse desiring to feast on ones carcass.

28 days later did a good thing by making the zombies run, and by making the blood infect you by you getting it in your mouth. Made it much scarier.

They weren't zombies because:

1: The infected never died then came back to life

2: They could be killed by normal means (mabye not that huge, but its still something to consider)

3: It's specificaly called the "Rage" virus which just infuriates the host

4: The Director even said that they weren't zombies

5: They never actualy "Ate" flesh, if you examined them, they were just berzerk and beat their targets to death

check out this game coming out in November its perfect for the 28 days later type zombies/infected.

Left 4 Dead

looks intense but also can put the player in a panic state, seeing all those mofos running at you.

Actually i had an idea about posting this topic on friday.

I think zombies, if done right, can be amazing in space, like DEAD SPACE for instance, that game looks insane.

A good zombie movie involving all of the traits he said was Shaun of the Dead, that was funny/scary at the same time.

Zombies are good, they never ever get old.

You have to do something to mix it up once in a while though. Romero made Diary of the Dead, in which, one zombie lead all the other zombies to destroy one of the last livable cities. A great movie.

.... Your thinking of Land of the Dead, Diary of the dead was basicaly a low grade movie of Romeros which only opened in a couple hundred movie theatres, but it was from the perspective of someone holding a hand held camera.
