Annoying dog!

I have a 2 year old beagle dog and it's driving me nuts! The problem is that, when I have free time or get out of school early, and no ones at home, most of the time I litterally entertain the dog so that she wont bug me! Everywhere I go, she has to be around me, I try to play with her and such, but she wont do it. She annoys the living hell out of me! So what do I do so I can have some free time without having to entertain the dog?

You can also take it outside or something.

What she said...
Really there are a lot of possibly ways to separate yourself from the dog, and most of them don't need geniuses to figure it out...

Ignore it, tell it no. Like that. Italicized and bold, dogs need discipline.

Probably has separation anxiety. My poodle has it, won't stop nipping at ankles/pants, always jumpy and wants attention, gets mopey and wimpers when you put him in his cage, especially when he knows we'll be gone for 9-10 hours (for school).

Not good for all dogs, just makes them worse sometimes, makes them feel unwanted and usually just makes them go insane.

We were fostering one dog that was ignored for a baby and given up for adoption. He had mental problems, he broke out of his cage by chewing his way through the plastic (cutting his gums and bleeding in the process), chewed up a cabinet door, tore up 3 linoleum tiles thinking he could dig his way under the back door, and chewed through metal blinds. Ignoring a dog is probably one of the worst things you could do.

Seek veterinarian help with it, they have what is basically "doggie prozac" to help calm their nerves and cope with lonliness.

I'm not a medical expert though, so it could just be that he's still young. Keep giving him attention, he'll probably grow out of it.

Other than that, I would say get another dog, could be expensive, but it gives him a play mate, keeps him from depending on your company less.

I have a white faced cockatiel that won't shut the fuck up sometimes... But since he hates me all I have to do is get within 10 feet of him and he tries to bite me like a bitch. I also call him stupid and useless and good. :)

If you don't know what a white faced cockatiel is it's this...

Solution: Semi-Abuse / Verbal Abuse

Hope that helps.

Sounds like the dog just wants attention. You should spend at least 30 minutes a day just paying attention to the dog, that includes walking, petting, combing, or just playing games with him.

Sorry but its one of the duties of being a pet owner.
