I think the questions on a few peoples minds is.

Was that the only action the bench ever saw?
Why didn't he just think of dead kittens to get it down? Or was it so severely swollen the blood clotted?

This will be a great story for the grand kids.

He couldn't. It's the same concept as putting on a ring that is too small. Sure it goes on easily, but it doesn't come off easily. Because the blood vessels and organ swells up to the point blood flow is being blocked off and all that good stuff.

So basically, he probably was flaccid, except the very middle... which is probably quite swollen
