Nothing can quite beat that jabbering in the end. Starts nearing a crazed speech in German from the sound.

Muay Thai, Pradal Serey and kickboxing are all a part of MMA. I RESPECT THOSE ARTS. I would love to train in either.

I never said it was the "UBER OMFG BESTUZ DESTROYAR OF FIGHTING STYOLZ LOL ROFFLE WTFLOL".

I'm saying it's just as great as any martial art and can even be better then some of those not to say that others cant be better then boxing too. Boxing is such a great sport because it really shows which combatant is better fit and trained because it requires tons of excercise, training, and body building, which is a reason why its also an olympic sport and dates back to the greeks.

yeah but the Greaks were bare fisted and allowed combatants to claw each others eyes out and in rare cases they ended in death. It was a completely different sport than modern boxing.

Actualy they wore leather straps around there knuckles and the oponent could give up by raising the finger.

Oh and a tribute to the greatest legend ever to have the greatest score of any sport, 49 and 0, ROCKY, MARCIANO!

It's a shame that he died in a plane crash.

yeas but to the Greeks you either won or you didn't and since losing was one if the biggest disgraces, it took a lot for a forfeit to occur.

YouTube - MMA vs. Boxing

It's the one who practises it huh? Well, that may be it, but in those videos over there, Boxing was the clear victor. Thats saying something. Alls your doing is just putting down facts and quotes, not hard evidence.

Mabye you should also take a look at kick boxing and thai boxing.

This video is about boxing having more pay-per-view sales than MMA. And? If you're trying to make a point, at least make a point.

As with any martial art, it comes down to the practitioner, not generally the art in itself. There is no single most 'ultra' martial art, however, there are obviously less effective ones, like aikido and other jibberish, that are more spiritual. Boxing, muay thai, whatever takes your fancy is good, and there's zero reason to exalt your own art so much while discarding others. It's the practitioner, not the art, that matters.

Like every other sport.

Just to further the point with MMA, it has the exact same requirements as 'boxing' has to be a great sport, but they're also required knowledge of how to fight on the ground, and protect themselves against kicks and a whole different plethora of techniques. Does this make it any better a sport? No. Why? Because it's all subjective.

Stop arguing.

It's not that i hate martial arts, it's just that it's so misshapen, not the art itself, but how its presented in the mainstream as some super magical, highly potent, fighting art, which is the best and can't be beaten by any other type of fighting art. It just drives me crazy, and with all the little kiddies watching naruto, i think you can understand why i might be trying to promote and defend boxing.
