Besides, you can be a massive, inhumanely strong bodybuilder but that doesn't mean you can fight.

Not to mention he propably could take quite a few hits before he would be down.

Most bodybuilders don't train their explosive strength, as much, so while he would indubiously be strong when it came to crushing strength, such as a bear hug, the muscle is utilized in quite a different way when punching. And then of course technique plays a large role. Meaning his punches, unless he was trained, would probably not be all that, but if he got a hold of you, you'd probably be in a bit of trouble.

Someone quite lighter than him, if trained, would probably be able to produce a punch with more momentum than him, but I don't deny he would have the potential to put a lot of weight behind his punches, his muscles are not indicative of punching power, which is a common misconception.
To draw a rather crude analogy, imagine a large truck and a light-weight motorcycle. Now imagine one scenario where the large truck drives into you at 5 mph, and another where the light-weight motorcycle drives into you at 30 mph. The latter one would hurt considerably more, and I realize it's a very flawed comparison, but it's just to illustrate my point that his muscles aren't trained for speed, but for lifting heavy weights.

To complete the analogy, if a Truck hits you at eight miles/kilometers an hour, and a bike hits you at the same speed.
The truck is not likely to stop when it hits you. Its going to have a good bit more momentum behind it. The bike may just stop.
Arnold may not have had much of a reach, or fighting technique, but he had power. A well trained fighter could take down any untrained opponent, no matter how great his muscles. However, few untrained fighters could match a body builder in one-on-one combat. Once he gets ahold of you, your done for. And he can hurt somebody, badly.

yes but remember Arnold was well known for the fact that even though he was incredibly big, he could still move with the best of them, so now hes a truck moving at 30 mph, that and with all the action movies hes done hes probably gotten some formal martial arts training, so he could through a punch.
