Try that badlad out. Everyone had them when i went to Iraq, the single most annoying thing i have ever heard!!!
When i left i set one for 5 am and buried it in the sand under my tent so the next guy was in for a treat

I heard of a thing that is the exact opposite:

You know how sometimes when you wake up, even when it's early, you get up easily and happily? Well apparently there are phases in our sleep when we can easily get up, and don't mind at all.
And this alarm clock reads your sleep pattern and wakes you up at a perfect time (I guess within a certain period).
That must be nice.

I have an alarm clock that I know how to set but it does not go off anymore. *sighs* I also have one from the 80's that I do not use. It is a vintage Star Wars wind up alarm clock.
