I don't know. Depends on who you work for and what you do. Howard and his Liberal party were widening the gap between rich and poor, creating a lot of problems for employees, and giving employers all the power. Rudd and his labour party plan to switch that around.

Reading the paper this morning, I see that Rudd got in. Things will be interesting. But too be honest, I never liked either. Howard was getting too old and stayed way too long, but Rudd honestly doesn't seem all that different. All he has is some energy left. That's all.

I think it was pretty much a given that Rudd was going to win. Howard's done well though, 11 years as PM.

Big swing in the Representatives though, but the Liberals/Nationals could still have a tie the senate, if they worked with Family First. And of course if the ALP worked with the Greens and Nick Xenephon (Independent). That would split it 38-38.

Australia held its general election on Saturday. John Howard and his Liberal Party which had held power for 11 1/2 years, got soundly defeated by Rudd and the Labor Party.
