For all the younger residents of FF, it's that time of year (at least for me). It's my first day of my last year (in about 30 minutes)! Yay, Class of 2008!
As a great start for my first night, I've pulled an all-nighter already, to attempt to complete my summer work, which I failed miserably at. Looking forward to my day, I see:
01 - AP European History
02 - AP Statistics
03 - AP English 12
04 - Honors College Algebra
05 - Sociology
06 - Computer Tech
07 - Debate
08 - French
Rough start, eh. (American students will know what I'm talking about for AP!)
To all the FF members who are students, when does school start there for you, and what classes are you taking?
I completed my last year at school a while ago, and boy that was hell. However, the school term in Australia started roughly 5 weeks ago, and this is the 3rd quarter of the school year for us.
The subjects I took;
Physics (2 units)
Chemistry (2 units)
Adv. Mathematics (2 units)
Adv. English (2 units)
Modern History (2 units)
Extension English (1 unit)
Extension History (1 unit)
To complete year 12 and gain your HSC (Higher School Certificate), you must complete a minimum of 10 units, with each class having roughly a 2 - 3 hour exam, and sometimes 2 - 4 exams for each class.
And before that we also had to do a trial examination. Crazy shiz.
Best of luck miss, enjoy your final year before the big wide world!
I finished school a few months back, should get my final grades in a few days, although I know I've already got an A in one subject since the points I got from the units before the last exam guaranteed it.
This is my last week. I have register today, for reasons unknown, but I have to read some shitty, boring book called "The Founding Brothers." Then I have to write a 10 page essay on it. Awesome. I'm like, halfway done with it.
My classes aren't that restricting, but I should have taken biology instead of chemistry:
1. Homeroom.
2. Art 1
3. American History Honours.
4. Chemistry Honors.
5. English 2
6. Geometry
7. And Psychology.
Whoopty-Damn-Doo.
Steve Irwin, February 22, 1962-September 4, 2006, RIP.
For the first time in my life school starting will mean less work for me.
I work in a refugee camp with a lot of children, and they won't be able to bug me in the mornings anymore beginning Sept 1st
