I had my belly button done as a dare / bet with the guys in a bar I worked at.

Horrid thing! Never closed correctly. Not again there.

Lord Rumpuss V June 27th, 2007 06:49 PM

Belly button!? That's the Ladies favoured spot to put piercings on, As it makes them look sexier.;)

Cyber-Raptor June 27th, 2007 07:00 PM

Nope. I've never been possessed by an overwhelming compulsion to impale myself with a sharp object. I accidentally stapled my thumb one time, yet still, I was not possessed by an overwhelming compulsion to attach a metal fixture to the site of the injury to prevent it from healing. The whole body piercing thing seems decidedly masochistic.

Your making piercing sound like your jamming huge metal rods through yourself you something. Its not even close to what your making it sound like. Normal piercings are not like that, and if done properly, should not really hurt at all.

Yeah it usually does. You guys might not agree, but tongue piercings can look good on some women as well.

Anson992 June 27th, 2007 09:40 PM

I agree, a tongue pierce is sexy, but the kind of things it leads to and the kind of people they turn out to be after they've had it, really make an impact. I can tolerate most though.

That really doesn't look like much fun. =p

Lord Rumpuss V July 4th, 2007 08:52 AM

Well for the one getting pierced it isn't.!!;)

JorDooM July 4th, 2007 08:59 AM

Well, frankly for me, I plan on leaving life with the same number of holes I started with.

Anson992 July 4th, 2007 09:37 AM

Lol, well, they do heal..... so you can get some extra's in-between life and death. All my family and friends say that regular ear piercing doesn't hurt. They say you think it does and you have jitter in your stomach before the first pierce.

But then, after you get it they say you'll be pretty much happy to give them your other ear because it doesn't hurt for less that a split second.

these things

Lord Rumpuss V July 4th, 2007 11:55 AM

They are done really big sam!! Plus they will be more of a liability when you get on in years, Co'z unlike simple piercings those will never close up, But it's still your choice anyway.:)

Benzin July 4th, 2007 11:59 AM

Well pretty much like getting tattoo isn't, imagine how that would when you're old and wrinkly. :puke:

Lord Rumpuss V July 4th, 2007 12:08 PM

All I'm trying to say is whenever you take that kind of earing off. you should really be careful not to get it snagged. I know some people who had those put on, And whenever they take those things off!, Even a simple thing as combing their hair becomes tricky. And yes they say that you need to take it off from time to time so's your ear won't resemble Dumbo's.;)

Benzin July 4th, 2007 12:20 PM

Ok ok, stop mothering me! *beats away with a large stick*

I have one, 5mm wide. This one looks like 10mm, though. :) 8 years ago i had one,yet it shrunk to my current 5mm. :D Basically it took 8 years to the hole in my ear to shrunk from 10mm to 5mm. :) 8 more years & it will be 2 or 3mm wide, if i'll pull out (gently :)) my current piercing.

I think anything up to 15-17mm can grow back enough to be completely repaired, given time.

Well yeah, but you're still lying there while someone menaces your middle with a piercing - uh - 'thingumy.' Rendering yourself that helpless to someone you hardly know doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

Anson992 July 4th, 2007 08:47 PM

Well, when you make it sound like that.....

But me, the only pierces I see going for me in the future period is in the ears. Thats gonna happen real soon too, but no where else... not only because most other places (tongue, belly button, eye brow) would make me look gay, but because things like 10mm holes in my noes, yeah, that doesn't appeal to me too much..... scratch that, at all!

No, I'm not one for piercings on myself, or any sort of jewellery or adornment.

Anson992 July 5th, 2007 11:12 AM

Decorative Implants? WTF? Seriously, I haven't heard of decorative ones, just a few implants in places where I'd rather not say, besides breast implants.

YautjaLord July 5th, 2007 02:45 PM

Paul Booth. This is the guy/tattooer that works in LastRites. Actually a famous tattoo artist, probly do body/ear/whatever :) piercing, as well. I talked about video "Tribute to Paul Booth" on YouTube. He (Paul Booth) chooses specific themes for tattooing (H.R.Giger's Alien, Necronomicon, horror-themed - u get the picture. :)). And as long as i'm not frightening u, the better for me - don't want to make myself flammer at any cost at all !!! Respect.

Iv'e seen some people with those and your partially right they don't look all horrible but. They strike me as unpractical people. I mean they are sure to have a hard time at the airport.

Pmsl. True. Hope I dont. :uhm:

Anson992 July 6th, 2007 08:42 AM

Man, with that airport comment you got me picturing some guy taking out every single ring he has in him, taking all day, looking disgusting! (Even though I know that wasn't what you were talking about....)

YautjaLord July 6th, 2007 09:45 AM

U all makin' piercing sound something terrible : it is not so, in general. A few examples here & in life r truly making u :puke , but rest of examples r not that special : i had piercing in eyebrow, ear & nose. Now i just have one in my ear : either u flow with it til u old & grungy , or u let one stay & rest is washed up the toilet/fly through window/whatever :). Give it a thought.

Anson992 July 6th, 2007 11:30 AM

Piercing in general isn't bad. I even said I'm getting my ears done later.... but some people go way to far with piercing, like all the pictures on the first page! But alot of the time when you think of piercing you might just think of the most horrid looking kinds, which are the ones I'm referring to

I have no issue with ear lobe piercing, top ear piercing, belly button (on females), small nose, small tongue, and maybe eyebrow, but I wouldn't date someone with the eyebrow or the nose, I just don't like it that much.

Got definite point. That's what i'm sayin', too. :) Either way, good luck with your ear pierce wether u do it or not : welcome to the club mate !!!

Lord Rumpuss V July 6th, 2007 02:17 PM

Yes welcome to the club of alienated people always looked upon like freaks in society. Don't mind the stares they give you. They won't hurt one bit!. I know from experience.;)

B@SE July 6th, 2007 05:17 PM

What gets me is what the heck these people going to do with macking big holes from these rings etc when they 'grow up' ???

Lord Rumpuss V July 6th, 2007 05:26 PM

Freedom of expression mate!! And most of this guys/girls don't think longterm.;)

Anson992 July 6th, 2007 10:15 PM

Yeah, but they should, I know I would before getting a hole in my nose the size of the thumb of the largest man you could think of.
