how often do you think that filefront gets a new user?

Just a poll i'de like to know how often this happens in your opinion.:nodding:

The-Bleh-Bleh May 27th, 2007 05:15 PM

i would say 10 mins... I know it seems a bit low, but if you look this forum has 170,000 users...

general_kerr May 27th, 2007 05:18 PM

yes some as old as 1975! but i put every thirty because i se a new one every ten miniuts on holidays but very few probably sighn up at night i wonder how many think this thread sucks in a week.

HairySheep May 27th, 2007 05:46 PM

i put 30, theres a crap load of people here, a fraction of them are active so its hard to tell really

general_kerr May 27th, 2007 05:50 PM

I think filefront should delete users that have not been active for more then 8 years also if you look at the active users at the bottom of the main section it says "welcome to our newest menber newmember"

general_kerr May 27th, 2007 05:50 PM

also everyone please vote. :)

kKamehameha May 27th, 2007 11:30 PM

i say every 30 minutes but many users are inactive which is sad.

Admiral Donutz May 28th, 2007 05:30 AM

I guess on avarage every 30-60 minutes. sometimes no new member for half a day or more, at other times a truckload of people in a matter of minutes. Too bad not all of them ever start posting or really become active members.

At 4.00 p.m. CET there are 92747 users. Tomorrow at the same hour we will see how many there are going to be and we will approximatly get the number.
By the way using the number of user I said above (which doesn' t include banned members) and using the first real join date 20th of August 1999, I got to the conclusion that there' s a new user every 44 minutes and 4 seconds. 32,68 new users everyday.

Jeff May 28th, 2007 07:55 AM

lol since 1975

Those are old accounts that were transferred.. none are older than 1999.

I think the people have the right to know - FileFront predates the Internet by many, many years.

But I'd estimate that a new user signs up to FileFront around every 15-30 minutes, some of which become more active than others. It's difficult to guage without a graph or something. :p

Deimos May 28th, 2007 08:02 AM

I would guess every 10 - 20 minutes.

Sovereign002 May 28th, 2007 09:16 AM

I think it's somewhere between 1.5 hours and 30mins.
Though it varies from day to day and time of year.

Based upon facts

http://members.lycos.co.uk/federiker5/gamingforums.jpg

EDIT: "Members per minute" is wrong. It should be something like "Every new member joins every X minutes"

-Section- May 28th, 2007 09:53 AM

I poked the 30 minute button.

Badha1rday May 28th, 2007 09:59 AM

I think that it is lower then 10 min. But, since 10 min. is the lowest choice, ill pick it.:lookaround:

Poking buttons is fun! :nodding:

Homer Gonerson May 28th, 2007 11:20 AM

I chose 30 minutes because it's closest to my rough average.

2007-1999=roughly 8 years of runtime
8years*365 days*24 hours*60minutes=4,204,800 minutes of runtime
4204800minutes/170,142members= 24.71347minutes per member

HairySheep May 28th, 2007 02:22 PM

why did we get such a huge number in 04'?

B@SE May 28th, 2007 04:27 PM

A new user of just a double up of a current user? :D whoops..shhhhh *sighs

My answer to your ask: Lots, every ten mintues. :)

Junk angel May 28th, 2007 05:06 PM

04`
Might be something more global.
Could it be some increase in internet availability in former socialist states?

also lot's of users become active only after some time
For instance me.
I really started posting some 2 months after registering

general_kerr May 29th, 2007 05:44 PM

Well I hope i get more resaults. and i eased my self into the forums. over 2-4 months. Too bad that filefront doesn't have an auto matic counter :sigh: 27 votes isn't enough.

~Sadie~ May 29th, 2007 05:48 PM

at least once a day.

xunx May 29th, 2007 06:30 PM

i vote for everyday cause this website seem pretty active and popular to me anyway

we do, it's just not available outside of the admin control panel.

Lord Rumpuss V May 29th, 2007 08:21 PM

I chose the 6 hours button it sorta feels that way.

Captain Fist May 29th, 2007 08:35 PM

Every few hours or so.

stikk May 30th, 2007 04:12 AM

Every minute.

Just think, the JK:JA forum gets over 10 members a day, which most are inactive.

Think that on a bigger scale, and you get one almost every minute.
