Have you ever cried...

...over something really small?

For example, I've just been watching a video on Youtube and it just got me welling up. I dunno why. Maybe it was the age of the person in the video or what, it just really got me going.

You ever cried at something small?

The-Bleh-Bleh May 7th, 2007 04:55 AM

that is sad... Sometimes I just get in really sad moods, and I dno why. But usually I just feel like not talking to anyone when it happens...

-Section- May 7th, 2007 04:59 AM

I do...But it generally has to do with when my system is pumped full of hormones =P

Badha1rday May 7th, 2007 05:07 AM

i didnt cry at that, but i do sometimes.

Junk angel May 7th, 2007 05:10 AM

I do a lot.
But mostly when reading a book

This just somehow seemed a bit overdramatic, while it must have been very sad, I just can't feel a connection to it.

Kinda weird when you think, that I was saddened much more withthe death of a fictional character, compared to the death of a real human being.

id10t May 7th, 2007 05:40 AM

I do, it rather embarressing but I have yet to beat an RPG with out crying
especially after the end of FFX :S

The guy in this video is a very talented, young Hungarian footballer. I am Hungarian as well. When I saw it in the news I did cry...

PS: I don't think it's a "really small thing".

ColonelVeers May 7th, 2007 05:43 AM

He died in the ambulance car...

Sunray May 7th, 2007 05:51 AM

I really don't know why, but in Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring, I welled up when Boromir died. Seems odd now, but it choked me up at the time...

Mlncly_shrine May 7th, 2007 05:55 AM

If somebody gets something on my shirt, or somebody takes something of mine and wont give it back i start to get watery eyed.

crystal_ice_prism18 May 7th, 2007 06:05 AM

Yes I have cried over small things, I think its natural for people to do it. Sunray mentioned crying about LOTR, I was crying in the Return of the King at the end

The Body Popper May 7th, 2007 06:06 AM

the ending of terminator 2 gets me every time I watch it. I dont know why I get sad about a machine dying, but its really emotional.

FeelFree May 7th, 2007 06:14 AM

I sometimes get a tear when i see a very sad scene. For example, in the "Green Mile" when the black guy was sent to the chair, i was so sad when he was executed.Such a great guy didnt deserve to die.

ConstanceJill May 7th, 2007 06:23 AM

Sometimes I cry when reading books or this kind of stuff.
Last time was near the end of the second book of the WarCraft series....
Spoiler:
... when we learn that Taretha has been killed :'(

Junk angel May 7th, 2007 06:43 AM

Yes I also cried in the Green Mile.
Or after reading harry potter a had to put the book down, since I couldn't see anything after I found out that Sirius died.

But there are just things I'd had to force myself to cry about.
Things that are so far away, that even death is somehow not enough.

Is this a second footballplayer to die due to utter burnout?

the1chaos May 7th, 2007 07:06 AM

It all depends on what you call a "small thing" I suppose. The last time I really cried was when my only remaining grandparent, my mothers' father, was found in his house dead. I cried for the first time in years during his funeral service, and it still makes me sad when I think back of it.

The last time I got watery-eyed was rather recent, a week ago. I had to quit an online game and community I've been with for about five years, and with whom I've shared lots of ups and downs. Some of the people there I consider closer friends than "real" friends of mine - sad as it may sound. I simply had to quit however, seeing my rehabilitation is now taking priority and I'm in a more essential stage than before (if you don't know - long story). This game, though I love it, just takes up too much time and energy than I can supply right now.

Some may count it as a "small thing", I don't know. All I know is that leaving there felt like shit, and I plan on returning as soon as possible.

Sh0wdowN May 7th, 2007 07:12 AM

I'm manly, so I don't cry.

AegenemmnoN May 7th, 2007 07:31 AM

Jesus, what happened to that guy?

I don't really cry over small things. Last time I got teary eyed was over a song, which, for some reason, hit me in the tender spot.

Crimson Butterfly May 7th, 2007 07:35 AM

The precise cause of death hasn't been established. They've pinned it down to heart problems. He was extremely young, too. He was a talented player and was a great loss to the football community.

You're also an idiot. Everyone cries - it's human instinct.

InfantryDivision May 7th, 2007 09:19 AM

I can never cry at small things. Its actually hard for me to cry about anything, including death. Sometimes I have to force myself to cry, just to get things out of mind and heart. Hurts to hold back. :(

im so manly, I cry testosterone...punk

arcadeplayer987 May 7th, 2007 11:31 AM

I do not cry on small things even that the situation in the movie is not a small thing at all.A man has died.

Sovereign002 May 7th, 2007 11:40 AM

I hardly ever cry, let alone from small things. Don't know why, I don't think it has anthing to do with being manly or anything I just don't cry, I get mad and angry instead though.
Last time I got emotional (not crying but on the verge of showing tears) was with the LOTR movies, some of those scenes hit a sensitive snare, and with some Star trek episodes.

Primarch Vulkan May 7th, 2007 11:43 AM

only when I get sacked....then again....that does hurt....alot

Banach May 7th, 2007 02:41 PM

I don't get emotional.

I guess I just don't care..at all.

I went to a funeral, sat there and left without crying. I do tear though. Only when someone reads a sad poem or something.

Jill May 7th, 2007 03:35 PM

I cry more than I should. I don't know...it just relieves tension I guess.

Scientist Dr. Professor May 7th, 2007 03:43 PM

Nope.

Only time I ever really get watery eyed is when men die heroically in battle.

Quote:

How dare you insult one of the greatest men to ever walk the earth.

Huffardo May 7th, 2007 04:15 PM

I don't really cry, but I suppose I would if someone close to me died, although I so far have been lucky enough not to have that happen my grandparents certainly aren't getting any younger.
Sometimes I get a bit teary when I hear about e.g. small children being hurt or killed in terrible ways, and when I manage to hurt myself badly, but certainly never when some random football player dies.

Who told you he is human?

Admiral Donutz May 7th, 2007 04:25 PM

I can be quite emotional and shed tears over rather small things such as a big argument, some bad news etc. while at the same time thinking "Rob please, why are having tears over something like this? WTF man? STOP! AHhh".

Same here (well I didn't had to cry but some tears appeared).

You can all make fun of me now... Im just easily hurt.

Elektrakosh May 7th, 2007 04:37 PM

I sometimes do but very rarely...

Yup I'm slightly human. Don't let that bother you.

Captain Fist May 7th, 2007 04:43 PM

Last time I cried was when my favorite pet, a Tuxedo cat named Riley, died.

RIP Riley Marino, 1998-2002. I'll see you in . . 60-70 years then?

aeroSPACE_engineer May 7th, 2007 06:10 PM

I cried over physical injury last when I was about 6 years old. The last time I can think of when I cried over something trivial was when I was 11, although, they're may have been other things since that I don't remember, but certainly not in the last 4 years.
And as regards serious things, despite every reason to, and despite trying to make myself cry, I haven't been able to bring myself to tears since August. (Before then, tears were not uncommon)

HairySheep May 7th, 2007 07:16 PM

i havent cried in atleast a year or two, i havent cried over physical injury in several years, what mostly gets me is when other people start cring, even if im not sad, its like just find people who are cring to be a very sad thing and its makes me really sad i geuss

wow, that video was very sad, didnt cry, but it was saddest thing ive seen in a while

Mastershroom May 9th, 2007 12:09 PM

I cried at the ending of The Return of the King, when Frodo leaves on the ship from the Grey Havens, never to see Sam, Merry, or Pippin ever again. :(

That, and my last breakup was quite a sad affair as well.

ice_mentos May 9th, 2007 06:49 PM

i almost cried over watching In pursuit of happiness. quite a movie for a sook

What happened to that guy!!??

I also guess what seems small to some isnt to other hence they cry. :)

The-Bleh-Bleh May 9th, 2007 10:45 PM

I somehow started getting watery eyes when watching click...
It didn't even seem like a good movie, it was just really sad and depressing...

I had the same problem.

Bloody thing was supposed to be a comedy.

MrFancypants May 10th, 2007 09:06 AM

Do you know the movie "Life Is Beautiful"?

The end of that movie made me get watery eyes.

WoW?

I used to cry more often as a child and sometimes in High School, but I haven't cried in a LONG time.

Lord Rumpuss V May 10th, 2007 07:08 PM

Everytime I talk to my two nephews(sons of my elder sister) via long distance it makes me cry since I helped raised those two squirts.

Liquid fire May 10th, 2007 07:45 PM

I cry all the time, well I water up all the time...durring movies and sad tv shows.

aeroSPACE_engineer May 11th, 2007 10:02 AM

Life is Beautiful is an excellent film. It was very sad at the end, but not quite enough for me.

The guy apparently died of some underlying heart condition which a small percentage of people have, it tends to cause heart attacks in sufferer's when they have been particularly active, so it mainly affects athletes, and is often undetected until something like this happens. In this case at least the heart attack was ultimately fatal.

Heh, not really. It's a browser-based game. Planetia. You've probably never heard of it, seeing it only has a few hundred players. Game itself is rather lame, but the community and politics make it addicting.

Free May 11th, 2007 11:59 AM

A movie that always (and I mean always) makes me cry is Cast Away. You know when Tom Hanks looses Wilson? That part. I know he will loose it. I know it every time but I can' t hold myself.
The last time I really cried (except for movies) was more then one year ago when I was on the edge of life and couldn' t carry on. I was alone at 3.00 a.m. under a street lamp (actually hugged to it) crying. Long story, which is a polite way to say "I don' t want to talk about it".
