What's the most important aspect in job if you could pick up just one factor? Other things are important as well but sometimes you simply can't have them all
EDIT: Could some staff member add a poll with following options as the forum gave me an error but still posted the thread (again...), thanks:
Wage
Work safety
Work mates
Career chances
Interest on job itself
Stability & Predictability
Benefits (work health care etc.)
Some other, what?

I'll work almost any legit job so long as it pays the bills. When it comes to the longterm as in a career, I'd like to do something that I will at least enjoy on occaision, or something I may find some humour in. I'll just use whatever money I make to do things I enjoy (like see sports game, travelling, etc) on my spare time. I see a job or career as a means to an end.
Honestly? The wage. First off, I'm almost 14, so I'll get a job a couple weeks after my birthday. I want to save up to fix my car. Then learn how to drive on our property. I'd only get like $7 a hour since there is only one shop that would hire me because of my age in the entire town. I'm pretty isolated out here in the outback.
Wage is the best factor unless you somehow get a job you like.

- Salary
- Stability
- Compatability (as in a job that I will enjoy doing for the next 10 years)
Never base your criteria on "having nice colleagues". People come, people go. May be nice, may be complete tossers, but you still have to work with them.

For me the interest on job is the most important factor. If you're interested on the job, you make it well and that way may get better salary and raise in the ladder. Wage is of course important but so are work mates: I would hate to make a job where my work mates would be a total asshats.

One thing I forgot to mention in my previous post is the chance for growth within a job. If I do a good job over a period of time, I would like the opportunity to take on more challenging jobs which are paid better. I would not like a dead end job, because eventually, I would start to dislike it.
