Re: homework

I hate homework. Fucking busywork is ridiculous and doesnt help me learn at all. I like reading the text, but worksheets are foolish.

Re: homework

Most of the time I don't have any problems with homework. Sometimes it can "even" be a lot of fun. It all depends in the assignment.

Rarely did I got any homework I hated. On college most of the homework are groupprojects and they are often a lot of fun though stressfull with the deadlines.

I voted "It's ok" for this reason, generally it's fine or a lot of fun but sometimes it's annoying.

PS: Don't think there is a lot to discuss about what people think of homework, a discussion would be "Do you think homework should be banned or should all work be done at home instead?" or something like that. Nice topic but I think it fits better in the GD. :moved:

Edit: Oh and summer homework  Summer vacation is generally seen as a large (the largest) break, the closure of an old study year and preparing for a new one. No homework in such a period. I'm I glad we don't have that. :)

Re: homework

It's helpful to have, but it would be better if ther was more communication between teachers about when it's set. Like not setting me maths homework for the next day when I'm supposed to be revising for important tests that will happen the next day as well. (hope that made sense!)

Homework sucks but unless you're very intelligent (in which case doing homework is easy anyway) you do need to do it.

It's useful, sure, and prepares you for later life.

wash, lawn, and or just any chore, job, work instead of doing things on the fly all the time and feeling overwhelmed, then things crop up, bills dont get paid and so on.

I see what your saying but surely the chores parents should give covers that? anyway homework I hate it but in some cases it is necessary but they do give to much I have hardly any social lfe because off homework, for instance today i have done a systems report, an english essay and a history essay now in total that took 4 hours, i get home at 4 so that took me till 8 meaning i have no time to go out with my friends, homework may be essential but at that ammount its too much.

Home isn't that bad, it's only bad when you really want to do something else, but the homework needs to be done. But at the end of the day you have to do it(well at my school)or you get punished.

guess you better get crackin. but yeah, homework can be helpful, but often times, it is overkill. and if you notice, the young teachers dont give much homework, probably because they remember how much they hated it, wheras the older teachers dont remember how bad it was.

I always do my homework, yet I wish there was none. For the most part I learn fine from schoolwork.
