Today I read in the paper that one of my old classmates from elementary school has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for murder. Apparently he killed another guy in a brawl over a woman. He was knocked over and when he got back up he "struck the other guy with a knife".
He's said in court that he didn't intend to kill him and he's trying to get the verdict changed from murder to manslaughter.
It makes you wonder how much people can change over time

Yeah I hear you.
When I was 16, I had two friends who didn't like eachother for one reason or another. It ended with one stabbing the other one to death. This happened in party at the guy who stabbed. We where all there and saw the whole thing. And we also did what we could to stop the bleeding but without positive result. The ambulance showed up and also the police.
The guy was sentenced for manslaughter to 3 years in a federal prison.
Both of the guys that were involved were good friends of mine, and they also knew eachother very well.
Why he did it is to this day un-known since he didn't want to talk in the trial.
Of course we lost contact and I don't know what he's up to today.
Another friend I had who did quite a lot of drugs when we were about 14-15 got a psychoses during one of his trips, took a bus out to the country and set fire to a farm killing approximately 600 animals. He was sentenced to 1½ year in prison and pay damages for causing the fire and the killing of all the animals. It ended on 3.4 million Swedish kroner which is approximately 340 000 €uros.
I read in the newspaper a year ago that he had been caught for armed robbery, trying to rob two fast-food stands which gave him the stunning sum of 500 SEK. He still have serious problems with drugs and I hear stories from friends of mine who still knows him quite often.
It makes you wonder why people chose to live their only life that way
He is your age, 22? and he fought back with a knife?
No offence but what a pussy.
I will never inderstand why men kill over females.
Possessive men are really weak minded sissys.
I feel sorry for you but not him and I hope they don't redcue it. If he had killed the guy with his bare hands I might see it (probably not) but since he pulled a weapon in a non weapon fight I hope he gets some manlove in jail.
That is a shame man.
People do change over time. You can only hope is for the better.
Are terrorists harmless? They sure are, when they are DEAD
When you get into that sort of situation it's not about comparing your dick size, it's about taking the quickest, safest route to remove your attacker. If that means you know more than your attacker, or pull a knife, a gun, whatever, and don't do it sportingly then that's fine. At the end of the day there are a lot of live pussys and a lot of dead idiots.

Hold on,
It said they were in a brawl, which means a fight over a chick, right?
Nobody was an attacker here they both participated in this fight.
He got knocked down by the other guys fist so he gets back up with a knife?
THAT, is called being a pussy.
If he was attacked for no reason I would see it your way, but from what I read it was a puss move.
