Re: Firearms Discussion Thread... For all you Gun Lovers.

Well guns that I own are a .30-30 bolt action rifle, 2 pellet guns, and a c02 pistol modeled after a luger. I also have 2 old shotguns that cannot fire anymore. I have them mostly for a collectible. Also an airsoft pistol, if you consider that a gun. In the future i hope to get a more powerful rifle to hunt bigger game with. The .30-30 works good for deer, but its not powerful for bear or moose. I also want to get a Russian Mosin Nagant. Ive fired one before, and I really enjoyed shooting it.

I have a bcd4 Mauser Kar98k, and a byf44 Walther P.38, both of which work and are extremely fun to shoot.

Re: Firearms Discussion Thread... For all you Gun Lovers.

The most lethal thing I have is a 98 Custom paintball gun from Tippmann. It has a full auto trigger (Mechanical, about 40 bucks), a collapseable stock (About 30 bucks), a double trigger (About 20 bucks), a autoloader (About 80 bucks), a 14 inch barrel (About 30 bucks, slightly used), and a 400 round hopper (Weighs alot, it holds twice as much as a normal one. Cost about 15 bucks). I used to have a red dot sight (Broke the day I used it, made of plastic. I will probley get one from a REAL GUN soon) and a bipod which I don't use anymore because paintball guns can't hit anything anyways. I probley spent like 400 bucks or so on this gun (Probley would have been cheaper to get an A5).

I have an A5, I used to play paintball all the time years ago. Right now, for about 2 years, it's been sitting in a bag...I need one little piece for the trigger.

Re: Firearms Discussion Thread... For all you Gun Lovers.

We've got a few guns at the house, we have a 9mm Beretta, which I am actually pretty good with, despite the fact I don't shoot that often. I'm actaully a pretty good shot.

We also own a Ruger .22 that jams a lot, despite the fact that we've only had it for about a year and clean it quite a bit.

We also have a Smith and Westen .357 that our friend gave my father for no particular reason, I don't use it that often when we shoot, but the bullet holes look like something from a Hole Puncher than a gun.

Lastly, our friend also gave us this tiny .25 Gun that we never use. It looks like at toy.

Re: Firearms Discussion Thread... For all you Gun Lovers.

I don't own one, since my parents think my brothers will take it and shoot animals with it. I would like to get a bb rifle or a paintball gun. But my bother is getting a nice bow and arrow set for christmas:rolleyes: If I am correct, an arrow does a good bit more dammage than a BB if it hits someone.

Re: Firearms Discussion Thread... For all you Gun Lovers.

Depending on where you live, as long as you're over the age of 21 you can own a long gun. Pistols are a little different, you have to watch a movie and get a little permit saying you pass a safety test or something. What kind of pistol or rifle do you want?

Check www.auctionarms.com and www.gunbroker.com

They really vary. You can get cheap ones, or very expensive ones, depending on how good of one you want to get. Try checking out your local outdoor store.

Re: Firearms Discussion Thread... For all you Gun Lovers.

I have a nie reliable Daisy pellet gun(and it packs quite a punch, but is still non-lethal to a human of course) and a less reliable, but still awesome .45 M1911 from Tangfolio. The only problem with the 1911 is that the BBs shoot a bit high of the gun because of the the hop-up system so at clsoe range I acually have to aim BELOW the target to hit it.

I want to buy as many WWII era firearms as possible. I suppose I would start with a Mosin-Nagant as I've seen them go for as little as 60$, or 90$ with a bayonet, sling, and ammo pouches. I would buy one now but my parents won't let me have a gun unless the barrel get's pluged. I told them they could simply not buy me any ammo if they were worried about my shooting it, but they didn't go for that either.

Re: Firearms Discussion Thread... For all you Gun Lovers.

I only have two airsoft guns, a TM FA-MAS F1 and a KSC CZ75, I'd like to own a few real ones some day, especially a Mosin-Nagant and a semi-automatic AK-clone of decent quality (if possible a Rk92), but currently they are very low priority.

The only times I have used real firearms were during my military service, there was quite a lot of stuff around, but I never got to shoot anything more than more than enough with my Rk62, one training LAW-72 and one real handgrenade (that's not exactly a firearm, but much scarier). Directing fire for mortars (mostly light, 81mm Tampella) doesn't count I suppose.

could be worse, you couldve used your weapons during military service alot...like in Iraq.

Remember kids, wear heat resistant gloves before every firefight less your fingers feel the burn!

Been there, done that. But in Kosovo that is.
I shoot more or less anything that is possible to shoot for regular 0300 in my militaryservice.
And when I later went down to Kosovo, we always had to be preperd and that was frighting from time to time, no doubt.

True, I'm glad I never had to use them on living targets. I don't have any plans to volunteer to go to some foreign country to kill people that never harmed me or anyone I know and chances of anyone attacking us are pretty small, so I hope I won't have to either.

Our summer gloves totally sucked at resisting heat, or anything actually, and we were not allowed to use any of our own either. They were extremely efficient in colouring your hands green though. :p

Not that you'd be likely to burn your hands that bad with a total daily fire ration of three mags (90 bullets)...

It was scary, like all other places where there is a war going on, I guess.
When I came down, there was a still a hotzone down there, which means that exploring massgraves, and constantly have to fear sniperfire, was something that really bited, atleast, on my nerves.

Here are the guns I've got:

An old Remington Model 11 16ga auto shotgun
1866 Remington Rolling Block Rifle in .45-70
Old S&W M19 .357 Magnum with a 4" Bbl that I occasionally shoot, usually with .38 spls.
As well as on occasion an old original GI Colt M1911.

Currently I'm putting away the cash for a DPMS Panther Lite 16 in .223 and a Springfield XD .45ACP.

Re: Firearms Discussion Thread... For all you Gun Lovers.

I have:
1 Pellet Gun Sig Sauer P220
1 Pellet Gun Desert Eagle .44 Exact Replica [black matte finish]
2 Airsoft Desert Eagle .50 Exact Replicas [both chrome silver]
1 Airsoft HK MP5-A10 with straight mag and working parts
1 Airsoft SPAS-12 shotgun with working parts [I stopped up the barrel with lead]
2 Airsoft Beretta 92FS pistols with silencers [black matte finishes]
1 Airsoft Colt M4 Commando w/ working parts and silencer

1 Real Desert Eagle .44 Mag w/ 2 spare mags
1 Real .22 Beretta 87 Target Pistol w/ 1 spare mag

I keep the long guns disassembled in my closet, but I keep the pistols in a metal breifcase under my desk at home. I hope my brothers don't fool with them while I'm at college. I lock the ammunition and magazines in another box in my desk. I keep the real pistols locked up with the ammo and mags.

I'm not much into the guns anymore, I get sick sometimes just when I look at them. I bought my guns originally as modeling references. I've never shot the .44 mag, I fear I might break my wrist or something.

It's only a .44, not like it's the .50 big brother. If you don't even use it, why have it? Sell it on an auction site, like www.gunbroker.com or something.

Americans used the P-17, which was nearly the same as the P-14 save for it being chambered in 30-06

Re: Firearms Discussion Thread... For all you Gun Lovers.

I actually own two rifles given to me by my grandfather. One is a single shot bolt action 22 LR Winchester. It is really old. Another is a single shot .410 Mossburg shotgun. Each takes one bullet at a time. I rarely shoot them. Sometimes my daddy and I go target practicing, but as I got older...I haven't gone as much.

My daddy has a bunch of guns. We have two gun safes at home. They are pretty big made by a company called Liberty. My daddy has several handguns including a Browning 9mm Hi-power, a bunch of Colt 45 APC types including an Officer Model. He also has a Colt .357 King Cobra and Ruger .44 mag. Shotguns like Remington Automatics and Mossburg and a couple of Colt Sporters H-Bar and a Colt AR-15.

He also reloads his own bullets and has a work bench to do that stuff in the garage.

I grew up all my life around guns. I could have more guns if I wanted but I'm not really that interested in them.

Just bought an SKS.

All in all is going to be about $410. Guy is shipping it and I'll have it in about 17 days. All matching, 1953 Tula Arsenal. I paid an extra 60 bucks (rifle was 330) because I liked the way it looked and didn't feel like waiting around for the auction to end. I offered 260, but he didn't take, so I just bought it for $330. Shipping, Transfer, and Dros is another $80. Oh well. This rifle will go well along with my M1 Garand, Mosin-Nagant 1891/30, Mosin-Nagant M44 Carbine, Mauser 98k, and my .45.
