That's no good, then you have to go to a fueral and such!

I want a Vietnam version M16, but I want to attach a bipod and a small reddot scope(just to make aiming easier), and basically have it be a poor man's sniper rifle.

Dan2004 August 26th, 2006 07:20 PM

Re: Airsofting Talk

Try going to cheaperthandirt.com . They have bipods, rails, scopes/optics and damn near anything you could want to trick out an AR-15 with, and some of it should fit airsoft M16s. I always thought of that as a pretty cool concept, strapping real-steel hardware to your AEG.

That's why I upgraded my AK-47 to full metal. I want to buy the wooden stocks but I don't know if it's worth 140 bucks.

Yeah almost, with the sniper shooting that fast you do bleed a bit, you basically have to pick the BB out of your skin. I had a friend show me his wound and it was pretty much a BB sized hole in his back that was like a quarter of an inch deep. It was pretty bad.

That is why it is a good thing to wear full winter BDUs.

See, if I lived in Germany, then I'd want to get a Tokyo Marui G3, and then see if I could pick up some wooden stocks surplus(and cheap!). They may not fit, but for the stock, the looks on the outside are the only important thing, and you can always carve wood.

Does anyone know if any mfgr makes an Rk 62 or Rk 95 AEG, or if there are any custom kits out there that allow you to convert an AK to an Rk? Because those are damn fine weapons and I want to know if anyone makes an airsoft version.

Funny that you say that, i bought a PTR91 (HK-G3 clone) not too long ago and bought the wooden hand guard and stock set. Just finished re-finishing the wood. looks sweet.

No they don't, closest would be some Galil I think. It would get pretty popular if someone decided to make one though, probably half of all Finnish airsofters would run to get one. :p

I've seen a few conversion attempts on the net, the closest of them was some guy who had access to some secret (illegal?) sources of real parts he wouldn't tell. You could always try converting an Ak-47, but be warned, it's quite a hassle, otherwise I would already have done it myself... The magazines are the only easily available parts as you pretty much can buy them anywhere and just put the inner parts from airsoft mags into them, but even they might be hard to find there. :(

I do wonder how expensive that would be, and not sure how much of a market outside of Finland the gun would have. Unless it was to appear in CounterStrike 1.7, I don't see lots of people recognizing it:p

i'd like a RAS for my m16, but at around 145 $$ for one, i don't think so.

RAS fore-ends can be pretty pricey, but check this link: http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/37156-45639-1887.html

Little 6" MIL-STD 1913 rails that easily attach to the fore-end of an M16 or M4. Their about $10 a pop, and you can use them to mount foregrips, LAMs, tac-lights or anything else that you would want for your weapon.

Hmm, I kinda want to just get a multiple barrel weapon, one capable of firing them all at the same time. Not really for accuracy or firepower, more to make my opponents go "WTF?"

Re: Airsofting Talk

Dude, if you wanna do that. Go watch simpsons and see what Moe did at their NRA meeting.

Get 5 guns, one main one in the middle, then stick out 4 attachment poles or whatever on 4 sides so it makes a cross. then attach the other 4 guns on each end of the poles. then finally, tie strings from all 4 triggers down to the main gun in the middle. So when you shoot the middle one, all 4 other shoots too. HAHA thats awesome. Wish i could do that.

Moe had (i think) a shotgun in the middle, an M16, a crossbow a pistol and some other rifle. It was pretty funny.

lol, iv just seen a report at a news paper and thought about this tupic instantly.
A Palastinian entered into the British consol in Tel-Aviv armed with a airsoft Glock 17.
he took 3 hostages and asked for a political shelter in a europian country.
after 3 hours of negotiation the SWAT team assaulted to building and found him holding the toy gun. lol

its wierd thought...in Israel? from all the countrys? lol that explains y it was so easy to take those hostages with an airsoft.

Re: Airsofting Talk

We don't have any rules about orange tips (UK), at the moment but the goverment is thinking about what they want to do about airsoft at the moment so we may end up with something like this eventually.

We just play in areas where we are WAY away from anybody else, and the police know where we are. We aren't allowed to walk around with weapons unless we have a reason for it (ie, going to a game)

We do have a 1J rule (328FPS), don't you have energy limits? It strikes me that with the speeds your using (>600FPS you may as well start using real weapons because as you say, you have to pick the BB out of your skin!

In canada we dont need them crazy blaze orange painted dealy. So its all good. Except we have stricter laws here and cant ship them in from another country. So airsoft is HELLUVA expensive here.

Re: Airsofting Talk

Semi is the only way to go. I have lost count of the number of times people have done the whole "pray and spray" thing only to get a single aimed shot back as return fire.

Guess which gets the kill?

But Crazy Wolf is right, walking up behind someone and getting them to surrender is great, lots of people concentrate to much on whats in front of them and ignore people walking up behind them.

I did one great one which was walking up behind someone (hiding my arm with the armband behind a tree) and asking them where the "enemy" (my team) was. He told me, I then got him to tell me where all "our" (their) team was before knifing him. You should have seen his face :)

I then shot 3 of his teammates before walking back towards my team who, taking me for an enemy shot me.

Crazy Wolf September 10th, 2006 11:44 AM

Re: Airsofting Talk

That is why when you are advancing in an area you know to be clear of enemies, you make your loyalties really clear:p Perhaps arrange a signal or statement to identify your teammates.

Umm. No. Canada has no crazy laws like that :P.

We have all the airsofts here as you can get in Hong Kong or whatever.
The canadian retailers are supplied by the big airsoft retailer in hong kong like Redwolf or Dentrinity and they can do custom orders for us.

And most of these retailers are like close with the customers because the laws here can be changed any minute now and all the 'real' airsofters discourage people under 16 but mostly 18 from buying and playing until they are older enough to, to be more responsible regarding the sport. The official Airsoft Canada forums have a little group with some of the retailers and have started a project to be more lenient(sp?) in Canada.

And they all spend a lot to keep alive the sport there, so some semi clear guns or cheap guns made in china are basically paperweights to them and when asked about how to upgrade one....they ll probably respond with...bash it with a rock till it works. Which is a good response to me.

All in all im 16 still waiting a little and saving up to play with these guys. Theyre pretty hardcore. A lot of them are ex-army so, i ll learn something hopefully.

Actually, the laws are crazy here. You cannot import any airsoft guns, as they are confiscated by customs upon discovery. What does this mean? We have to pay double what they are actually worth from Canadian retailers, it isn't fair at all. But we have a new gov't now so things may change for the better.

I'm thinking about getting a FAMAS myself, but it is a french design so I don't know, but it's the best price for a AEG from what I have seen, and it's a bullpup so more range and power on it. M4 would probably be my second choice since it is so customizable. I'd get an AK 47 but I don't want to play as a terrorist. :D Probably get the M92 as a sidearm since it's the most economical.
