They are treated just like BB guns, here in California.

Most beautiful weapon ever... It so sucks we aren't allowed to have guns (even airsoft ones!) in the Netherlands, I would love to have one (airsoft ofcourse).

i would have gotten more into airsoft but no one around my area has AEG's...so pointless to invest 300$ into a gun...

As for realism, I have yet to see assault rifles with suppressors used on a large scale by any military. Same goes for most other stuff, except to a degree red dot sights and scopes. Everyone being some SWAT guys or special ops is far from realistic.

BTW, the ROF of the Fa-Mas is ca 1000rpm, it is quite useful for suppressing fire, but the 60bbs in a mag don't last long on auto.

Your singing my tune my friend. I play with two 'sets', one standard US infantry and another Opfor set. It gets annoying to see gear whores trying to portray a Ranger Battalion and having more gear than a real ranger would ever carry.

US set
CA M15a2, Trijicon ACOG
TOP M249 (even got a real disintegrating link with some real rounds for that authentic touch)
Standard BDU's, IBA plate carrier, Nylon Vest (issued gear have no idea who manufactured it) Pistol belt, H-Straps, 2 canteens, camelbak (stealth model) 36 magazines, Buttpack (BHI i think)

OPFOR set
King Arms Dragunov (real wood)
US Flightsuit/overalls. web belt, with Y straps, 2 canteens Chicom SKS carrier vest 10 mags.

I wouldn't worry about the price for long. A couple of years ago when the first batches of MICH Helmets were just coming out, the ones I could find on ebay were up around $500 - $600. Now that there are more of them out there, the prices are down around $150 - $200. I'd give it maybe another year or so , and chances are they'll be selling for about the same as the K-Pots!

Personally, I'm saving up the cash to get a "CommandoLite" ACH off of US Cavalry. It's a lightweight ACH style helmet that weighs little over 2 Lbs, yet offers IIIA ballistic protection!
