Re: September 11th Fifth Anniversary Tribute May the fallen rest in peace and the brave fire fighters who risked there lives to save strangers true heros they were:(. |
Re: September 11th Fifth Anniversary Tribute While the loss of life is regrettable compared to the mortality rates suffered annually it is of questionable impact. The difference is that these people were struck down in one sudden act of malice. I don't really know where things go from here, no-one held a minute's silence at school, no-one particularly cared about it all these years later, and I think that's as it should be. Sooner or later however unfortunate an event we've got to pick ourselves up and keep moving forwards, life should be about moving forwards. |
Re: September 11th Fifth Anniversary Tribute I know this is a little late but I was busy all yesturday with memorail(spelling) parade for the 9/11. I was in the parade walking and riding on the truckss then we stopped and did a lights and sierns(spelling) for the fallen firefighters and the rest of the people that lost their lives that day. A little 7 year old boy comes walking up to me with a Fire Helment. he says " I want you to have this. This was my daddy's helment. he died in 9/11." I said I couldn't take it because I thought thte family would want it. He said that his dads wish was to help the next generation of FireFighters." So I took the Helment and walked the kid to the trucks we let him ride with us for the rest of the day. I never seen a little kid so happy in his life before. The mom was taken on another truck to follow us. I feel wierd wearing the helment but yet I wear it because I know what it means to everyone in that family. |
Re: September 11th Fifth Anniversary Tribute GOd bless all those killed that day my heart is with all those familes and my admiration is to all those first responders who went back into those towers to tried and help and gave thier lives saving others, this made my realize that I owe these amazingly brave people and the reason why I am enlisting in the air force after high school and the on good thing that came out of 9/11 is that we learned to be one agian to love our fellow countrymen and not let politics and what not get in that way and thinking about all those people lost that day makes my blood boil and i would also like to give a HUGE thank you to pete and corey family freinds in iraq right now and I dont care what others think about that war, what matters is they are doing what they think is right and you guys are my idols for that and my god guide you home safley along with all of the others out there now. I salute you-C/ssgt Nick Pierce CAP USAF auxillary |
