I like reading the descriptions of fireworks - they almost invariably always say :
Emits sparks and showers.

Rockets are the shiz though, there's nothing better than sending a small bomb hundreds of feet into the air above your house and watching it explode in to colour.

A friend of mine was telling me how he got some small-ish mortars for a birthday party. They had 4 grams of explosive in them apparently

Colours? Tsk tsk.. Explosions! You can't reproduce a good bang with a soundsystem. The immense shock is just /me shivers
