Not really. The Gigantic Enormous Supercomputer of Awesomeness that Controls Everything will just delete old universes where humans have destroyed themselves or something, to make room for the new ones. Problem solved!

Sure, the idea of parallel universes floating around in a higher-dimensional space sounds like fun, but how can we ever really prove it? Science is the art of experiment and proof. If you can't prove it, it's not science, it's philosophy.

I had a dream once where my computer must have been the GESACE (see above), as I accidentally deleted Mexico by dragging it to the recycle bin. Then I woke up.

*Note: This was actually a dream I had. Anybody tell me the meaning? :)

Half of what scientists are coming out with these days is pure fiction. String theory, dark matter, etc. It's all stuff they've invented to explain things that they can't really explain. Doesn't make it any less interesting to think about though.
