I seem to remember, it was either 95 or 98 that had, as an option for a screensaver, swirly screensavers, eg, effects happening to what was on your screen at the time. Eg, if your desktop had been the last thing on screen before the saver took effect, there would be effects happening to it...
Does anyone remember these, and, if so, are there any free savers that have the same sort of effect?
Re: Whatever Happened To Those Swirly Screensavers?
Yeah I remember them..
A swirly one that twisted everything, one that stretched everything as if it was a circular glass, and one that sort of pulled everything towards a centre point.
Re: Whatever Happened To Those Swirly Screensavers?
Man..I totally remember those. It had that one that pulled apart your screen...why can't they work on new computers and work perfectly on old ones. Gt with it MS.
Re: Whatever Happened To Those Swirly Screensavers?
ive seen those and even downloaded them before (to play tricks on my friends sicne theyve never seen them before they thought their computer was melting lol) but in order to find them now you have to go to any search engin ( i use google) and type in " Screen savers / downloads"
Re: Whatever Happened To Those Swirly Screensavers?
Hmm yeah Linux had them , I used to have linux . Had to rebuild my computer considering one of my harddrives died on me, and yes it was very important... Makes me cry to this day.
