The NON computer grafix thread Ok guys, not sure if this is gonna work here, but: Post pics and links to some of your REAL artwork, the stuff you DIDN`T do on the computer A few of mine to get us started: 2 figurines of samurai warriors that actually took me six months to build and paint. Bought in kit form, made from white metal and handpainted with acrylic(I was suffering verrrry badly from depression at the time and I constructed these when I was at my lowest point) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...k/DSCF0016.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...k/DSCF0017.jpg |
Re: The NON computer grafix thread Sorry, but this doesn't have anything to do with graphics and I don't know where to move it to. |
Re: The NON computer grafix thread umm moved to....General Yib-Yab (Off Topic) :moved: nice figurines very detailed |
Re: The NON computer grafix thread Wow, those figurines are painted really well! If I tryed to paint one of those it would probably look like this. |
Re: The NON computer grafix thread Yeah, nice painting. I bet it takes a real steady pair of hands to do that. Nice detail too. :) |
Re: The NON computer grafix thread you have some awesome work there dude. the graphics forum should be renamed to the art forum or something similar:smokin: . |

Re: The NON computer grafix thread Nice models. Figured I'd post some Star Wars ships I did a few years ago now... be gentle it was my first time at weathering... I really should borrow a cam again and get some of my better stuff up :D http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...s/X-Wingsf.jpg Got bored of the red X wings... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...Speedersts.jpg I really want to make ths one again. I could make it so much better, oh yeah I made the stand cause the stand that came with it broke... in fack all the stands that came with my SW models broke.... :bawl: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...t/Models/T.jpg Ties dont really get worn looking... but its a custom colour I made! however I cant remember the mix :uhm: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ls/B-Wings.jpg last one it looks alot better in rl than the pic but meh, I made it very battle worn  none of them used decals cause I suck putting them on.... so I painted them on! |
Re: The NON computer grafix thread Ohhh Star Wars toys, dony mind if I borrow them *puts on a black balaklava... dont mind me im only here for the toys! |
Re: The NON computer grafix thread Some nice models Sith. I could never get into space models, tried and failed miserably:rolleyes: Although with weathering you gotta be careful you don`t overdo it or underdo it. As evident in the speeder bike, just looks too clean. My method was to paint the model in a slightly darker shade than needed, get some of the really thick goo from the bottom of the tin of a lighter color, get a small amount on a brush and wipe off any excess then just tickle the surface of the model with the brush. The paint then adheared to the raised detail more thus picking out the details. I`ll post some pics of some unfinished models sometime. Quote:

Re: The NON computer grafix thread Ok Guys, not been around for a while. Biiiiig family crisis  But without further ado, as promised some more of my work. The "office" of a half complete 1/48th F4 Wild Weasel. All hand painted. Must get this finished sometime. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...k/DSCF0012.jpg As above but a different angle with seats removed to show instrument panel. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...k/DSCF0023.jpg One of the ejector seats. The actual size of this is 3cm high. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...k/DSCF0025.jpg A Ferarri GTO in 1/12th scale http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...k/DSCF0026.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...k/DSCF0027.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...k/DSCF0028.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...k/DSCF0029.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...k/DSCF0030.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4.../DSCF00281.jpg |
Re: The NON computer grafix thread wow, love the work on the cockpit and seats very nice! for the sking of the plane is it airbrushed? |
Re: The NON computer grafix thread Oh man, i love that Ferrari model...very nicely done and a good choice of car. ;) |
Re: The NON computer grafix thread That ferrari model is great, awesome paint job. |
Re: The NON computer grafix thread I really think you ought to dust those figurines! After all they took you all that time to build... |
Re: The NON computer grafix thread dust.... it build up on models so quickly and is even harder to get off, unless you drycoat it... but even then its a pain, which is why ine are all in boxes for now until I can make up some plastic display stands for the good ones. and cases for all my SW statues and such.... I think i need 2 rooms  |
