You won't get anything for it. It's your fault it was stolen, well - more so than the company who made the MP3 player or the store...

The one year guarantee covers functionality, not presence.

depends on your insurance, not your guarantee.

I doubt it most warrantys don't cover that kind of thing, your best bet is to try and find the person who took it. :(
Tell them you will gouge them open and eat their intestines if they don't give it back. :nodding:

Unless you paid extra to take out theft insurance when you bought it, then definately not.

game wont start, no error message

Another reason warranties never cover theft is becuase you can't actually provide proof of the theft unless you "magically" had a video camera with you at the time. Better luck next time, keep your items on your body. Literally.

A warranty is NOT an ensurance, it only covers damage (failure) of the item when (obvioulsy exluding you letting it drop on the ground etc.). So unless you signed a contract for some type of (theft & burglary) ensurance then you won't get any money for it.

You're english (or at least British) based on the use of 'nicked'. Also, at 14 it is likely you live with your parents. Your parents most probably have home insurance and most home insurance policies cover against the theft of items out of the home also, items such as MP3 players. Ask your folks to check with their insurance company.

But that would be limited to items stolen from the house, no? (as opposed to household items taken out of the house by the owner then stolen in another location) So if his mp3 player was stolen somewhere else the coverage would not apply.
