Re: Report

it got people to use alot of shorcuts and leet speak ;)

it allowed people to transfer large and helpful(and bad) information all accros the country. people are able to communicate from one coast to the other(or from one country to another).

for entertainment it enabled the transfer of music and video files.

world views, alot of online news websites.

Hmm, here are a few:

-Allowed easier and faster communication between countries
-Provides a "hub" for information and messages
-Spreads ideas, cultures, religions, etc
-Another way to socialize

Re: Report

Speaking of homework, it (the internet) has largely (I don't mean almost completely, as books are still used very commonly) replaced the amount of books that nearly all levels of students use for school work. Most information can be found somewhere on the internet and can be at much easier and faster access than that which would be found in a specific book in a certain section of a library.

Re: Report

The con of that though, is the credability of the information itself. You can't always tell if it's just an elaborate hoax, or true facts at times, even with supposedly "real" credentials from a "real" person.

Re: Report

The internet has drastically changed the world, allowing for the first time, other cultures and nations to interact, influencing each other in ways that had never happened before. Only 4/60 people on my msn contact list live whithin 200 miles of me, most from different countries like Germany, Denmark, Wales, Japan, and so many other places. The internet is truely the only place where so much culteral diversity comes together in such a way :D
