Default Question on english term for certain object

Hey, im looking for the english word for the following object:

does anybody of you people know what these things are called in english >

We Dutch call them "reclame zui(en)" or "advertisement pilar(s)" Asked riles and Reven but he didnt got further then "bill boards" and "notice boards". There MUST be a more specific word for them?

I remember seeing them on TV in London (and berlin etc. also) so don't tell me you never seen one!

I need that the word for this thing since i'm looking for info on them (size, what's commonly to be found inside? etc. ) since i consider modelling one to be used in BF1942 (Forgotten Hope mod) to give something else to shelter behind next to all these boxes and barrels. So a more exact keyword to google on is needed!

Thanks for your help in advance!

Rob

PS: Would have putted this "silly" question in Spamming Forum perhaps were it not for the fact that it would disappear of the first page in hours.

Only place ive seen them in the UK, is in London. I dont know, they tend to get Flash-Posted ridiculous amounts.

Sometimes they have public information on, like maps, or bus stop times etc.

"Public Information Boards" ?

Oh I dont know...

From "Litfass" advertising pillars to billboard advertising

From 1855 onward, the first Litfass advertising pillars changed the look of the streets of Berlin. These cylindrical bulletin boards were invented by bookseller and printer Ernst Litfass and named in his honor. Litfass was annoyed about posters that were randomly plastered on walls, and this had prompted him to make his invention. The city of Berlin granted him a monopoly effective until the year 1880 for setting up these pillars. However, Litfass was not allowed to use them exclusively for advertising: The latest news also had to be posted there. In 1865, Berlin already had as many as 150 Litfass pillars.

hmmm looks like i have to settle with "advertising pillar(s)" then, unless somebody can come up with a better word/official name for it.

Yes they do. There's one here where I live, at the library.
