Forum Wierdness

Do you act strange on forums? And by strange, I mean out of the ordinary? Take me for example, I post in three different colors: Red, Blue, and Purple. Why do I post in three different colors? Check my avatar, it's an edited picture, but I made it resemble Magus from Chrono Trigger, and he (On the main screen, if you bothered to actually get him) Has one blue eye, and one red eye. I thought it was wicked, so I adopted it into a form of posting. Blue posts will indicate a mellow, happy mood with me, emotional, good manared, that sort of thing, whereas Red posts will indicate anger, action, frustration, and anything like that. Purple posts are a combination of the two, making the way I post a wierd, but very cool way of posting, I think.

How about you guys? Got any wierd forum kinks? :p

Re: Forum Wierdness

No i don't.

Stop posting in colors!!!!!!!!

Doomkillwer November 25th, 2004 08:52 PM

Re: Forum Wierdness

Why? I can understand if you are using a dark/light skin, and some colors may be hard to read, but Blue and Red, and namely Dark Purple, should be easy to see.

Interesting. It hurts my eyes.

I'm using firmament which is dark blue and i can't read it. I have to highlight it to see it.

Uh, I act no different than I do in the "outside world", though I tend to be anti social then. I do, however, have an annoying habbit of changing my signature every few days. I've been getting better at staying put though...

Doomkillwer November 25th, 2004 09:10 PM

Re: Forum Wierdness

I had a feeling there would be some opposition to me posting in colors. But i'm sorry that it annoys you, or that it is hard to read, but it's just rhe way I go about doing things when I'm on any forum.

On-topic, I used to be at an old forum. I hence forgot the name, however while I was there, I had a rather quiet poster always follow me around the forums and post in any threads that I did, even when they were stupid threads that he most likely had no caring of. It was so wierd.

You have way too much time on your hands.

Doomkillwer November 25th, 2004 09:27 PM

Re: Forum Wierdness

Do you honestly think it requires that much extra time to add a color to a post?

I tend to correct people all the time on my name, telling them that it is großadmiral (or "grossadmiral") and not groBadmiral. Besides that i talk about dönitz at random times.

Oh and i make kinky threads/posts about me, scorpy, scarecrow and smitty enjoying whippings, torture, SM etc.

Weird? Me? No. No more so than at any other time, anyway.

Me? Well I guess I talk too much about the Swedish military and stuff like that, but meh :p.

I remember when Mitch used to put a "" smiley in the end of his posts, it made me laugh .

I tend to act more of a jackass here then I do in real life. I don't know, I guess I see you guys as my punching bags of fustration. Haha. When I get all that pent up energy, I either waste it on my brothers or I go to the Melee.

Re: Forum Wierdness

I'm not to intrigued by colors, and I reckon myself to have a weird behaviour on GF or in real life.

And I think you should stop with the color things, it annoys some people (excluding myself, as I have a white-based theme), and I don't think most people gets your message about frustration.. and all that.

X-C November 26th, 2004 06:32 AM

Re: Forum Wierdness

And I think you should try better when you post messages, I didn't understand what you just said.

It's not weird. We're just an average family. No?

Re: Forum Wierdness

I don't act much different on forums than I do in real life, other than the fact that I'm more outgoing. I'm very shy in person until I get to know someone.

I originally did the posting in colors thing too (to match my av, cause I like to be coordinated like that), but I stopped the first day I was here when I realized that there were darker skins and it'd probably be hard to read on them. Now I just change the font...not sure why. Haven't really put much thought into it, I just like doing it.

I have this destructive attitude about the planet on these forums. None of my friends know that I secretely wish for them all to die in a blaze of nuclear fire. But you all know. Yes, that is right, I am looking forward to dooms day.

well, i used to post in red all the time, but then n0e got all the different skins (when i was posting in red there were only a few) and i didn't want to check how red showed on all of them so i stoped.

i guess thats the only wierd thing i do...well, did. =\

I had a post devoted to explaining what "weird" really meant that I posted about five months ago. I'll see if I can dig it up.

Anyway, it would seem by my post we are all average in this community.

How would you know? I spend all my daily alloted posts in Spamming Forum. That's not very efficient. ;)

Anyway, I found my little rant from a few months back (Forgive the heavy sarcasm towards the end):

Well, insane is a relative term.

Cra·zy
adj. cra·zi·er, cra·zi·est
1. Affected with madness; insane.

Now, if we look at the word insane, you will get the following definition:

1 : mentally disordered

During procreation the majority of the offspring born are "normal". Of course every so often you have a case of brilliance or extreme stupidity. These tend to make up the minority of the species, otherwise they generally are too weak to live to pass on their genes and eventually die. The remaining are classified as abnormal. There are two forms of abnormality, you have the positive and negative category. With humans this doesn't really exist, the intelligent tend to be lacking in physical strength and/or attractiveness, while the others are just plain stupid. Neither traits are very favorable and they become labeled with a stereotypical name such as "different". Over time, society has degraded and people become more vulgar. Soon terms like insane pop up. Since most of the normal people are degrading in intelligence, but are still above plain stupidity, they find comfort in calling others insane. They fear being overcome by the brains of the abnormal group, so they become scapegoats, often branded as greedy tyrants. The stupid people are simply seen as inferior.

Well, over time the idiots and the Einsteins become dependent on each other for survival. The intelligent ones create cures for the defective genes, while the metaphorically reborn genetically enhanced humans protect the geniuses. They become even more powerful, but once again, they are the minority and are still labeled as insane or crazy.

As we can see, these people are clearly more intelligent than the majority of stupid people, but are still called crazy. Please know that simply because you are insane does not mean you are stupid, simply feared.
