Join Date: March 15th, 2004 Location: Nova Scotia, Canada Status: Lurking Rep Power: 32 | Re: Why dosn't FedEx deliver on Sundays? well, here anyways, we have a law called 'day of rest' which means companies of a certain size cannot legally open on sundays --although, that law gets recinded for the 6 sundays leadin up to christmas, and then, its up to the induvidual companies if they want to to be open. (a note-employees cannot be fired or otherwise disaplined if they decide they don't want to work on those days.)
besides, being open on sundays would mean overtime for alot of employees, and that wouldn't thrill alot of employers!
also, wouldn't you want to have at least 1 day that you know you wouldn't be working? |
