Why dosn't FedEx deliver on Sundays?

Why dosn't a non goverment funded company like FedEx not deliver on Sundays? I know you can if it is "bussiness" mail and/or you pay extra money. I buy games online everyonce in awhile off the internet and I was just wondering why they don't deliver on Sundays?

Maybe someone here knows the answer? It would make sence to me if they did, they definetly would have the one up on other delivery companys.

well, here anyways, we have a law called 'day of rest' which means companies of a certain size cannot legally open on sundays --although, that law gets recinded for the 6 sundays leadin up to christmas, and then, its up to the induvidual companies if they want to to be open. (a note-employees cannot be fired or otherwise disaplined if they decide they don't want to work on those days.)
besides, being open on sundays would mean overtime for alot of employees, and that wouldn't thrill alot of employers!

also, wouldn't you want to have at least 1 day that you know you wouldn't be working?

ya I thought about it a little bit more and they would have to pay there employes overtime and I asked a friend of mine and he started telling me about fedral laws and stuff for California. So I think I understand it now.

Saturday and Sunday aren't considered standard business days for most corporations in the US.
