My parents are split when it comes to this poll. Lets see....my parents will not let me cuss around them. However, they let me do anything else I want. My parents are very leniant, as long as I keep the cursing outside. I really never curse though. And my parents never really punish me anymore unless I forget to do a chore or beat up my brothers, or go streaking at malls.
Edit-I have been watching rated R movies since I was 11. I don't find many horror movies to be scary thanks to my parents. Signs did freak me out the first night we watched it though, just because I am a little paranoid sometimes and when I went upstairs it was all dark. You know how you feel, like you sense or see something even though it is not really there.

Well... my parents are very controlling, my dad won't even let me go places with my male friends and he's even yelled at me infront of some of them aswell. He has his moments where he can be a real big bastard.
My mom on the other hand is usually the one I complain to about my dad and she's real laid back, she doesn't buy me beer or anything (my parents don't drink alcohol... or even coffee). I'm pretty sheltered, but I haven't always been the best kid in the world.
I'm trying to drink away the part of the day
that I cannot sleep away
my parents are good to me, mother worries about me, and my father lets me do pretty much what I want. growing up it was a bit different, but nothing I could complain about.
Wait, how can Russians always be rushing when they are always stallin'?
Anyway, I would say my parents have brought me up almost perfectly. I was never spoiled, if I did happen to want something it would be given as a gift for my Birthday or Christmas. There was one exception, though, books. They have always bought me books when I want them. They always read to me from a very early age, and I am glad they did. I am sure that influenced my love of reading.
I also appreciate that they did discipline me if I did something drastically wrong. It wasn't severe, and was always justified. I have never been grounded once, though. Manners are another thing. Too often do I see people today with a total lack of etiquette, and again I thank my parents that I didn't end up like them.
One other thing that I value greatly that they have always given me is trust. My mom felt completely comfortable leaving me at home when I was ten after her kidneys failed and went on dialysis for a year. Staying home alone is one thing, but at age eight they let me ride my bike for many hours, ten during them summer wherever I wanted. I never really knew how much trust has to be given to allow a kid of that age to go as many miles from the house as he choose for so long.
One last thing before I shut up, what is with the poll options? They are kind of vague and random.
