Didn't like the 206 when I drove one personally, but that's me, drove both a 206 and a 207 when I was learning and didn't really like either of them. Had Vauxhalls ever since then (one Vectra B and two Tigra As). The Corsa C is a bit dull but make sure you test drive one, they're good all rounders.

Dude don't bother buying new if you go out and look you could probably find a slightly used car with higher performance than what you'll get new. Or spend your question upgrading the old car.
