Why is the valve thing in to the side? In the US it usually faces down towards the front of the car, at least in GM vehicles. I haven't looked in a Probe before. Is that how it is in all Probes, or European ones?
its a transverse engine, alot of American cars have them too. just means the engine is mounted sideways in the engine bay, most front wheel drive cars have it like that. saves a lot of room in smaller cars
yeah almost all FWD cars have traverse engines, the only one i can think of that doesnt is the old SAAB 900's with their reverse engine, god they are a pain in the ass to work on, but a clutch change is like only an hour
