Get some cleaner and clean the throttle body out good.
Change the PCV valve.
Change the air cleaner.

Run it for a little, then pull one of the right bank plugs out and see if it is black.

If it`s some kind of TBI injection system,check that both(at least GM has two) injectors are working.Simply take off the air cleaner and start the engine,then look down the bores.
If the spray pattern of both injectors look the same,they are at least functioning.

Ok My Car is running fine for the moment. The top plug for the injector was not connected. I still believe there was a problem before that. I believe it was either the Plug Wires or Plugs themselves but it's running like a dream now. Thanks for all of your help.

I like the old Ford trucks, but I still prefer Chevys. I need an old pickup to supplement my '89 Suburban. Hauling stuff to the dump without ruining the carpeted cargo area can be a challenge. This summer, I'd like get one, but I want a new video card too. I wonder which one the wife will think is a higher priority...

Chebby. Video cards get elapsed every few months; old iron is kinda like wine (but not always the fine sort).

I'm in the same spot as you: I like old Fords (Found On Road Dead is a joke, but Fix Or Repair Daily is more true than most think), but I'm really a Bowtie fan to the bone. Hence lusting over that C/20.

Ok car is running fine but when i changed the spark plugs on the left side there was oil on them and my car is blowing out blue smoke. What does this mean?

...that you've got a very finicky car?
Oil on the plugs can come from a couple sources that I'm aware of: either through the piston rings or the valves. Based on what I've heard from others and read, bad rings are the more typical culprit. If you've got oil leaking in through the valves, the the valveguide is probably shot, and that's not the kind of thing you want to have to replace on a vehicle that needs to be reliable.
Blue smoke, in case you don't already know, is what you get when you're burning oil.

the blue smoke could be because the fuel in the engine is too dirty. and the oil on the spark plugs might just be because you might have a leak in the oil tank.
