| True, but the retail market has had it listed at late September. Now that much of a move really.

| The retail market is always behind it seems. Even at one of their demonstrations this year they said October 2008.

| Yeah. They've degraded it ALOT. I'm going to bet when it's released, no one will buy it because it's another Crysis.

| Well, they originally promised 50 square kilometers, now it's down to 15, which is about the size Crysis is. And Crysis is fun as hell, otherwise i wouldn't have spent 100 hours on it, would i?

It's also a matter of preference, like the original Far Cry, I see Crysis as more of a tech bench than anything else. Also, to say that Far Cry 2 will simply become another Crysis is rather naive, hell, Ubisoft Montreal, not Crytek are making it...

Seriously, at first, i thought it looked cool enough. But what makes it any less of a tech bench than Crysis?

| Don't avoid my question. If you don't provide a source for the information you spouted myself and many others will call bullshit and you'll look like a tool. Not a nice image. Assassin's Creed may be repetitive, but hey, it sold a shitload of copies, was refreshing and something different from the norm. As Merrick said, you can't account for everyone's mindset, and just possibly they enjoyed it. The fact it is a planned trilogy and they are going ahead with it says it is successful as well. Well, Look at the original Far Cry, beautiful engine, all these claims about non-linear action and so on. We got that, to an extent. The game in the end was restricted by it's own plot, and let's face it, do you even remember it all that clearly? Jack Carver was a very poorly developed hero with his obnoxious Hawaiian shirt easily his most memorable trait. We can look at Crysis in a similar manner, another brilliant beautiful engine, promises on non-linear gameplay, which, we once again are given to an extent. The idea of either going rambo or cloaking about is possible, and there are few other opportunities floating about, but nothing past that. The plot was crap once again, felt like it was tacked on, but at least we got a pretty picture to follow it out in eh? Far Cry 2 however, by being effectively in an expansive world that is manipulated and changed directly due to the players actions, as well as having multiple different outcomes and ways to play it out, well, that is almost entirely opposite of what Far Cry and Crysis promised isn't it?

| I believe it was in some interview a while ago. Either on IGN or GameReactor. It might just be the fact i have a hard time imagining 50km2 without any but the first loading sequence on the consoles. Look at Oblivion, for example. It was... what? 12km2? It had constant loading sequences, and could barely run on the consoles. I'm still going to get it because it looks alot, graphically and gameplay, Crysis. It has everything Crysis did, but also everything it didn't. I'm just not expecting alot to avoid getting disappointed.

| I really doubt it'll be reduced to 15 because of how open and alive there promising it, unless you heard them wrong and they might've been saying they reduced it 15km's or something along those lines
