It happens all the time, not just with guilds in WoW but with clans in other games. Posting to recruit is a persuasive and INFORMATIVE thing. All too often clans give far too little information . When Advertising your guild to players you should include ....

Guild Name
The realm / server your guild is on
Website etc
Contact details
Inscentives - teamspeak, guild bank etc.

you also may wish to include what details you want from any users that want to join.
