It worked for you because it took you to your own images. Anyone who clicks on that link will be prompted to login and then taken to their own images.

Let me show you how to directly insert images into posts. See the field on the right side of the page where your image is hosted that says Links to share this image? Click on it to open it and reveal two additional links. Select and copy the link from the field that says Direct.

Now, click this little button from the post editing tools →

. It will open a field to which you can paste the copied link (if there's anything already in the field, delete it before pasting your link). Click OK to close the field. That should give you something like this:
