Sotw 55 You asked for it, you've got it. The rules are :
Because hallways smelled like fresh paint.. This weeks theme is Mostly Free with One Requirement. Pick a primary or tertiary color try and limit your color palette to that range. This doesn't mean you can't add other colors to your sigs... I'd just like to see you try and primarily keep your scheme to one color group/range/spread. Example: If you choose blue, all shades and hues of blues, to the edges of where it turns into purple and blue green are acceptable. Heres a wheel to get you started. Feel free to blame me if this flops, but I hope/think this will help you guys to think a little bit beyond the usual, image+brushes+filter stuff we normally do. Good luck! Spoiler: |
Re: Sotw 55 Why must you complicate things? :D |
Re: Sotw 55 Good thinkin' Section! I applaud thee |
Re: Sotw 55 Spoiler: |
Re: Sotw 55 so something like this? Spoiler: |
Re: Sotw 55 Along those general lines, yes. Though I was hoping you wouldn't just take a complete signature and then change its color cast =P |
Re: Sotw 55 i didn't. That was the way it was when i first made it. see :D |

Re: Sotw 55 I apologize about the last post, I was kinda touched in the head then, because I was up for 48 hours. Here is one of my first sigs or whatever... Spoiler: |
Re: Sotw 55 Bravo guys! Keep it up. |
Re: Sotw 55 Would this work?: http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w...7/submerge.png I know i know it looks horrible, but it's just not my style so... |
Re: Sotw 55 |
Re: Sotw 55 Does the greyscale count? aslong as it's not just desaturated? This probably won't fit into the scheme but here it is anyway. It just isn't from a primary or tertiary colour: http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k3...ner/SOTW55.png |
Re: Sotw 55 Hmm, I'm lacking any good ideas right now, so I'll use my Hendrix sig. I think it'l be suitable. If I think of anything else I'll make a new one. http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/j...g?t=1203894163 |
Re: Sotw 55 |
Re: Sotw 55 looks good, but the skin color might be stretching the rules a bit. |
Re: Sotw 55 Its red-tinted, if that makes it any better. I just don't feel right without a LITTLE bit of contrast in anything, its just so bland otherwise. |

Re: Sotw 55 there is somthing missing in my post for some reason, does anyone know how a IMG post could just dissapear. Never mind, now it appears to be back for some reason. Uhh looks like it wants to come & go at its own discretion! |
Re: Sotw 55 WOW! -Section- what a challenging theme  it was tough for me to use one set of colors :uhm: So I hope this qualifys, if not I understand :D http://img182.imageshack.us/img182/3101/frank4is5.png |
Re: Sotw 55 I like you new entry Chocu1a, Better text. =) |
Re: Sotw 55 Yes, it is better. I'm just glad I finally got one created before the voting. < makes no sense, right? |
Re: Sotw 55 Yep, Makes no sense. Explain please? :D |
Re: Sotw 55 I don't quite know myself, I think I meant that this is the first time for me to submit my work before I can't submit it anymore? Do I need to speak English here? |
Re: Sotw 55 So your saying that you submitted your work before then closing date? O.o |
Re: Sotw 55 1 Attachment(s) http://forums.filefront.com/attachme...1&d=1204155628 I hope that's okay. |
Re: Sotw 55 I can't seem to express myself in English. Hmm... maybe a dialect of chinese or russian would suffice. Then I can translate it back to english, BRILLIANT!! Spoiler: Spoiler: Ah, it says that this is the first time for me to actually submit my work before the deadline, is that clear, or should I use Spanish? |
Re: Sotw 55 Lol, Speer!!! @Dragonelf68: I don't quite think that is exactly fitting the theme. Although the colors used are primary (red), the sig is mostly black and white, which aren't actually colors. I'll leave Section to validate it, but personally I don't quite think it fits, though, it would be amazing for an abstract themed SOTW (wink wink, nudge nudge, SAY NO MORE) :lookaround: |
Re: Sotw 55 Quote:
lol At least it looks good. |
Re: Sotw 55 http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...es/Charger.png THeres mine, its color, red! Quote:
