Re: Buisness Card Quote:
Anyway, I know it's just an image, but 85% of the images on the internet are someone else's copyrighted work. When you're actually doing graphic design for commercial use you need to be extremely conscious of where you get your images. You can't just build things for commercial use the same way you do it for a signature, it's a lot more image-picky, especially as free domain isn't incredibly common place. Especially if there's a copyright anywhere on the original webpage or anything of that sort claiming ownership, you can't use it. There are other stipulations, but those are the most common. |
Re: Buisness Card Man i know what a copyright is & that is just a ps brush i picked up somewhere, there wasn't copyrights anywhere. If there was i would have not made it for them. If you want to talk about copyrights with me go to the TOKAY thread because the snakes are from a copyrighted picture that i butchered just like everyone else does. You know it says there in my post that here is an idea, It doesn't say i have made this card from complete scratch now pay me! |
Re: Buisness Card I know what your intention was, I was making sure HE knew what was going on, and from his less than clear response, I honestly have no idea . . . And you didn't say where the brush was from in the first place so I was just checking. Sometimes people who request things don't know what the laws are, so I was mostly talking to him. This is one of many reasons we tend not to do commercial things here in the first place, it gets rather complicated. |
Re: Buisness Card Funnily enough... I did my work experience placement at a commercial graphics design company... It doesn't matter if the picture is copyrighted, as long as over 50% of it has been changed. The only problem with copyrights is mainly with Logo's... If you decided to put, say a Microsoft logo on some new software packaging you were designing... even for concept design purposes... then that would be a big no no. |
Re: Buisness Card It means that the name ends with and eL instead of an e. |

Re: Buisness Card They can always check that kind of thing at a copyrights place, I'm sure there are alot of pics. like that, but you wont know unless u check. That goes for any idea period. I changed the link & put a l in your pic. |
