Quick PS Question I have PS7. I recently started just fooling around with some tuturials b/c I would like to start to learn how to really use PS. Anyway, I can't ever finish a sig because my text doesnt work. No matter what size I select it stays miniscule, I cant even see what I type, even If I zoom in to the max. I uninstalled it and installed it again but I get the same problem. It's not like another feature that I could just ignore and work around. I tried looking on the net for this problem but apparently no one else has had it. Anyone have any idea why I have this problem and how to fix it? |
Re: Quick PS Question So you can see the text but you can't read it? Are you sure it isn't a layer problem? |
Re: Quick PS Question No, I can't even see the text, all I see is a tiny little blinking text line thing (lol dont know what its called). It's not a layer problem becuase the size of the cursor stays miniscule even when it is on size 78. I think I have a busted program. |
Re: Quick PS Question Has it always been like that? Maybe you could return it and get a new copy. |

Re: Quick PS Question Sorry, I dont quite understad. Do you mean post the file of an image that I tried to type something on? Could you elaborate please? Apologies for the nubness. |
Re: Quick PS Question I think he means, do your text layer with your typing on when you can't see it. Then save the file as an editable .psd and attach it here so we can see if it works on ours or whatever. |
Re: Quick PS Question 1 Attachment(s) Here, all I did was try to type something in size 72. |
Re: Quick PS Question "Could not complete your request because the layer is not a valid text layer" Thats the error I got when I tried to open it. |
Re: Quick PS Question Hmmm, whenever I try to type in that font it doesn't show. I turn it into another font and it works. Is this problem with all fonts? |
Re: Quick PS Question I opened it fine, but had to increaze the size to 2000 px to be able to read it. Font=Tunga ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????? |
Re: Quick PS Question Yea. I doesn't work on any font for me. Weird. |
Re: Quick PS Question I've had this happen with some fonts, such as marlette. I'm not sure of the reason... Did you try making a new document that is white, then making a new layer and typing on that, then delete the white layer? |
Re: Quick PS Question It's as if his font size had the decimal point in the wrong place. I.E. he sees 100 but it's actually 1.00. |

Re: Quick PS Question You cant enlarge your text because you haven't selected it. Try selecting it and enlarging then. My photoshop (CS) recognized it as a one pixel size text. You can also try pressing Ctrl+T to enlarge |
Re: Quick PS Question Naw, it definitely isnt that. Thanks though. |
Re: Quick PS Question Well, I didn't even do anything but the text started working again...It must have been that dance I did to the PS Gods. |
Re: Quick PS Question It works for sometimes. For example, It wouldn't work on the latest sig I was making. So I opened up an old sig I made and tried it on that and it worked. At least I could make the text on the old sig and drag it over. I made the text size 48, but when I dragged it to the new sig, it said the text size was like 3450. Weird. |
Re: Quick PS Question And the award for triple posting goes to... |
Re: Quick PS Question Chill out. I was updating the situation. All those posts were made way longer than 30 minutes apart. If I could have edited them into one post I would have. |
