Funny, I didn't crop anything.
Sorry tho, I missed reading the last few post, so I didn't see the whole task that was to be done.
Still you guys are making it sound more difficult than it really is. And I was not trying to do a first rate job. I was only trying to show a quick and easy method that can look good if you take the time.
As for the Ckunk I supposedly didn't take out. There is no chunk to take out. The only color data remaining in the image I posted is the Green GO. As for the rest of the canvas space, there is no color data. Which mean there is less data than if you have defined Transparencies.
But as it seems to be explianed in the posts that I missed, Transparent areas are not needed at all. So I'm wondering why you even talking about transparency at all.

Because removing the background causes transparency... transparency=see through parts. Images are square, so anything that's not visible within the square is transparent.

I don't know how "select the white part with the magic wand tool and delete" is sounding complicated or difficult

you dont need to select the white areas and delete them. just select and drag what you do want into the other image. Why do you need to delete the white area?

I can't think of an easier way to get rid of it than selecting it and deleting it. Two clicks, if all goes well.

With images like that I find it easier to quickly select the background, then invert the selection to easily (and more smoothly/cleanly) select what I want.

the easiest way is to make a transparent layer and put it under it. then use the wand tool to get rid of the white on the original. then make the transparent layer to somthing that will contrast against the color your getting rid of. just zoom in (if needed) and erasea it. then make the bottom layer transparent again (however you want to do it)
