paint shop movie?

Hey, just a dumb question, but I've heard you can make a movie sig like the ones some people have here out of .mov files, but neither animation nor paint shop can support a mov file. Does anyone know if there's any way to get any type of movie file so that it could be opened in animation shop/paint shop? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe avi, but it'd have to be a short one (under 100 frames).

Avi works, but I suggest playing the movie in quicktime (you may need a converter to get wmv's into readable files) and hitting Ctrl+C every few frames. It saves a lot on the eventual size of your avatar/sig, and works just as well. Paste into photoshop, animate with Imageready, and there you go.
