how did you give the red in the Roses that texture? did you liquify them?

actually I can't rememind exactly how i did it.. but I think I used the same effect that I used on the sunbursts which was called "corona", then I somehow shaped them, used 3 each for the rose petals and for the stem I used a lightning plug in

welp.. what's art to everyone else doesn't have to be for you =)

-As for the new ones, the solencia one I used a smoke plugin and tweaked it out.. did a smoke towards the middle on all 4 sides, then i used a smear, squint, and swirl effect.. after that i did sharpen about 6 times to get the "cell" effect like you're looking under a microscope.

-The other one I used only blue smoke and then did a basic glass effect over it, creating the bumped texture and the flat sides

I also think you're using too much filters, to me it looks like random coloring and filtering.

actually they were planned out except for the orange one, everyone was planned and made exactly how I wanted it. thanks for your opinions though

ah I get it all the time, I do like the roses it was very well done. It just looks like ramdom stuff to me, maby theres a point behind them but i dont understand them, they do look cool but its not somthing I would make. (dont answer that) But when i sit down and do this stuff i dont have a thing in my head what its going to look like at all, most of the stuff I just pick a brush and go from there. They look like somthing i would find in like a back round i would add some brushing to them. (dont change the roses) :D

Since you know what you want, and what you don't, where you want it to be dark, and where you want it to be bright. I know what color I want and I know mostly anything, but I don't "plan" it, it's like, 'oh, that'd be cool'. Therefore I wouldn't call it random.

haha, thanks projectile.. I think the roses are kinda boring, because i just used the same one for each size, but it was still fun to do. On that solencia one, which i'm really liking, I was trying out plug ins and found one that ended up making it look like cells, and i figured if i sharpened it more, it would, and well.. yup! :cool:

Well I've just been using psp since version 3.. so about 5 years or so.. and I've been into graphics the whole time.. I just have a knack for putting things together nicely (maybe I'll get good one day)
